The go-to casual place in the Union Station neighborhood

This was the first place I ate when I moved to DC 7 years ago. I still frequently go here and find that they provide dependable food and a variety of cold beer. The service is usually prompt. Although the place is fairly casual, I find that it's fine to bring a business associate when we don't... read more

A good dinner option. Menu choices are what you might expect for an Irish pub. The nightly special, haddock, was nicely prepared and tasty. Good selection of beers.

This was my first visit to the pub/restaurant which is very close to Union Station. I went with a friend and we sat outside which was nice. There is a good selection of beer and the waiter was friendly and efficient. I had the Irish salmon which came with braised cabbage, champ potatoes, & parsley sauce. The cabbage seemed to... More

Everyone we knew said this place was great so we arrived on day about 4.30pm. We chose indoors as we both thought each other a needed a cool down but the outside looked popular and vibrant. We were shown to a table and we sat down, after 10 mins I went to the podium and asked if it was self... More

We spent 4 nights in Washington DC in May/June this year and 2 of the nights were spent at The Dubliner Restaurant. The food is wonderful and plentiful- DO NOT MISS the Guinessburger served on a boxty pancake- my mouth is watering at the thought of it!!! Everything we ate during both our visits was delicious. The service is very... More

We stopped by on our way to a DC United Game and it had been 20 years since my last visit, it was a mainstay in my college years and continued during my years on the Hill. The food is great, if you order an Irish Breakfast that is what you'll get, the burgers are delicious down to the kosher... More

The Dubliner has been there forever and is an awesome place. They have great beer and great classic food---Shepards pie--fish and chips---burgers. Setting is nice and cozy--dark wood; service usually good.

Stopped in for lunch with me wife and 2 other couples, not very busy, nice decor. Good pints and was delighted to see Irish Brekkie (breakfast) on the menu for all day. I am not fooled by "authentic" Irish/British pubs and before ordering asked if they had HP sauce (a brown sauce used in Ireland/UK very popular on breakfast) I... More

This attached to the Phoenix Hotel, easy to get to and take a drink back to your room. The food was great, tried a different dish each night and found that the chicken sandwich with fires was the best and cheapest, They had some great Irish singers in and was good to sit with a second pint and enjoy. If... More

My children and I were trying to keep our food budget on a budget, so we weren't going to really expensive restaurants. Our meal here was one of our bests. I had the Chicken Pot Pie- huge flaky crust and lots of white meat chicken. My son had chicken fingers and my daughter had a hamburger. All is all ,... More
