Good Food

We stayed around the corner and was looking for something quick to eat. It's a pub, so expect it to be loud and the food was good, typical pub food. Our waitress was very sweet and kind, making our visit a pleasurable one.

Stopped in because we were staying around the corner. Came back a second time in a week. If you are near the Supreme Court, Library of Congress, Capitol, it's just a few blocks away. Like the title says, it's got good pub food, friendly staff, and as any decent pub, good beer and reasonable prices for D.C. You may have... More

We spent parts of two evenings here as part of a wedding weekend. It was a great place to gather before and after the more structured activities.

I took the server's suggestion (based on my question "what is the best thing you serve here?"...perhaps needs rewording). Guinness burger. Wowzers subpar. burger was okay but had no flavor. Onion strings were onion strings, nothing special. And served on some potato pancake, which was inedible. Seriously, I rarely find stuff inedible (my family makes jokes about how I will... More

I loved this bar/restaurant in the Phoenix Park hotel! Great music, great service, very fun atmosphere. I brought two collections of clients here, men and women, and a relaxed but lively time was had by all. Typical pub food but done very well, I will try to get back here if at all possible next time I'm in town!

we visited DC for 4 days and stayed in the Phoenix Park hotel, which is attached to the pub. We decided to try it our first evening, fully intending to try other restaurants the other evenings. It was go good that we ended up eating here all 4 evenings. Everything we ordered was the best. We had chicken pot pie,... More

The hotel suggested this as a place to go to grab a bite to eat without emptying your wallet. The chicken pot pie was delicious, the top crust very flaky. Also a decent choice of craft beers on tap.

My teenage son and I ate here one evening during our recent vacation in DC. Reasonable prices and both meals were very good (steak and fried for me, shepherd's pie for my son). Service was okay, but waitress seemed more interested in chatting with other waitresses than in the little things like noticing an empty water glass.

Walked in and we were immediately seated. Server walked by us several times and never came to our table. Waited 15 minutes too long before we walked out.
