Have visited the DC location and was excited to see the Arlington location too! At 1:30, there was no longer a line out the door, which was nice. I go for a regular dog with chili. The chili cheese fries are great! The fries crispy and not too much salt. There are tons of options, vegetarian and full on beef... More

Had always heard about this place and wanted to go. Was able to book the private room for a group of 24. We arrived a little early and Mr. Brown and his staff we so welcoming. Got to say he spoke to my senior class and what he had to tell them about life in general was very powerful. What... More

There are a few thousand restaurants in the Washington, DC area with countless faux decors and fresh from the farm menus, all forgettable. No matter if you're a local DC resident or a visitor, this is a must stop. Be sure to eat breakfast or lunch at Ben's Chili on U Street.. Its a dying breed, at least in these... More

Ben's is one of the best diners I've been too ever! Not my first visit and will not be my last! I don't eat beef or pork so I truly appreciate the turkey burger, vegetarian chili and turkey hot dogs! All delicious!!!

I got a chilli hot dog, chilli cheese fries and a milkshake. Everything was pretty mediocre. Nothing special. The restaurant has an old school feel to it which is nice. The staff was nice.

We were students in DC. Ben's Chili and smokers took us back to the 90s, concerts, the old neighborhood feel of Cardoza. One bite took us back....That good!!!!

We visited Ben's with friends from the UK who read about it in their guide book. Ben's is a great example of a fun, American diner. The people working were friendly and quick and the food was delicious. The menu even offers non-meat eaters the option of a veggie dog and veggie chili.

Ben's Chilli Bowl was a must visit, so off we walked to find it. Took a while to get there, and was well worth the visit. It's a real US diner, and we both opted for a half smoked with the full chilli. Was an unusual way of having a hot dog, but I enjoyed it a lot. Would definitely... More

I visited Ben's Chilli Bowl after reading about it in the Rough Guide. The food was excellent I had a half-smoke and it was awesome. The staff are very friendly and make you feel like a regular. I will say this, there is not a healthy option but if you're visiting the USA and want to experience 'authentic' cuisine this... More

Had to go and try this famous chilli dog at Ben's in our stay in Washington. It was a bit of fun and surprisingly, the hotdogs with chilli- just like Bill Crosby eats- were really yummy. This is a place with a bit of character and cheap eats. Worth a bite if you are in town.
