Back in the day, B. Smith used to have great food and service. The food is not as tasty and is absolutely awful during buffets/brunches. Maybe the magic will return, but until then B. Smith is just a memory of great food. more

Tucked away in a corner of very busy Union Station, this is an oasis of calm. Beautiful high ceiling dining room accented in gold. Excellent food and service. Fried Green Tomatos were crispy but not greasy. Gumbo was very flavorful. Excellent pasta with chicken and sausage. Sausage was spicy but not tongue tingling hot. Fried chicken was crispy not greasy.... more

Not as good as it used to be 10 years ago. Service was fine, food was underpar...nothing to write home about. Would prefer Georgia Brown's to B Smith. The only selling point is to dine in a historic part of Union Station. more

This was my first visit to DC, and I met up with a friend for dinner. After looking at the menu, I decided on ordering the fried catfish, which came with collard greens and macaroni & cheese. The fish was delicious, as well as the greens, but the mac & cheese could have been a little warmer. The watermelon martinis... more

The restaurant has two entrances including one that comes off the main terminal of the station which includes a store hawking her signature housewares. But once you step into the main dining room the experience really begins. I begin by admitting that I am a history buff. And reading up on the venue I discovered that this was originally opened... more

Tasty soul food: jambalaya, fried catfish, collard greens, mac & cheese etc. They have hot sauce that's not joking if you're into it. more
