Japanese sushi chef and servise persons

They are very friendly and quality of food is good. They have a REAL Japanese sushi chef and he makes good sushi. The price range is fair.

It was a quiet lunch hour but all guests were packed into a tight little front room instead of dispersing us throughout the restaurant - I wasn't asked where I would like to sit. The waitstaff seemed nervous and uncertain. They brought me beginner chopsticks without me requesting it - I know I hold chopsticks incorrectly - I also hold... More

Overall average sushi place located on a city block filled with ethnic restaurants. My sashimi was not the best despite the high price. The miso soup was good, and the ice green tea was freshly brewed.

We've been going there for a long time and always enjoyed the sushi. If someone in the group doesn't care for that then there are other tasty items on menu.

I've been coming to Tono with friends and family for years. Have never been disappointed. The double salmon roll and the kimchee tuna roll are two of the best sushi rolls I've ever eaten and they are consistently fresh and flavorful. Nigiri and more simpler maki is also always very good. They have non-sushi asian fare as well for those... More

The below ground main dining room is a bit dark, the upstairs is slightly more upscale, but the food is excellent as is the helpful service. The lunch specials at $11-12 are a real bargain and well worth it. All the various rolls are fresh and well spiced. Pickled bean sprouts come to each diner. The pickled veggies as garnishes... More

We stopped in for happy hour and were so glad we did! Several great happy hour deals to choose from from individual $1.00 Nigiri bites to fried calamari and all kinds of hand rolls. Tasty , fresh, seafood and a nice patio to take in the great fall weather!

We stopped here on the advice of the Marriott across the street. We tried some typical rolls of salmon, eel and tuna that were all very good. The one we didn't care for was fried soft shell crab - the pieces are double size so difficult to eat and have lettuce in them which was unusual. Other than that, we... More

Not the best I've ever had, but it was quite good. The service was very good, the sushi was fresh, and the noodle dish my wife had was very good too.

The sushi that was prepared was not good. It seemed not to be fresh. The crab meat wasn't true crab meat. It was also overpriced especially comparing to New York City sushi restaurants which serve better food than at this restaurant. The waitress didn't even ask if we wanted desert at the end. She seemed unhappy to be there. Having... More
