I've been coming to Tono with friends and family for years. Have never been disappointed. The double salmon roll and the kimchee tuna roll are two of the best sushi rolls I've ever eaten and they are consistently fresh and flavorful. Nigiri and more simpler maki is also always very good. They have non-sushi asian fare as well for those... More

The below ground main dining room is a bit dark, the upstairs is slightly more upscale, but the food is excellent as is the helpful service. The lunch specials at $11-12 are a real bargain and well worth it. All the various rolls are fresh and well spiced. Pickled bean sprouts come to each diner. The pickled veggies as garnishes... More

We stopped in for happy hour and were so glad we did! Several great happy hour deals to choose from from individual $1.00 Nigiri bites to fried calamari and all kinds of hand rolls. Tasty , fresh, seafood and a nice patio to take in the great fall weather!

We stopped here on the advice of the Marriott across the street. We tried some typical rolls of salmon, eel and tuna that were all very good. The one we didn't care for was fried soft shell crab - the pieces are double size so difficult to eat and have lettuce in them which was unusual. Other than that, we... More

Not the best I've ever had, but it was quite good. The service was very good, the sushi was fresh, and the noodle dish my wife had was very good too.

The sushi that was prepared was not good. It seemed not to be fresh. The crab meat wasn't true crab meat. It was also overpriced especially comparing to New York City sushi restaurants which serve better food than at this restaurant. The waitress didn't even ask if we wanted desert at the end. She seemed unhappy to be there. Having... More

Tono is well located for visitors to the Woodley Park hotels. I had a sushi and sahimi plate which was fine, but not memorable. They were busy while we were there and service was quick and efficient.

I stayed in the Marriott at Wardman Park across the street and chose this place out of many within the walking distance because it seemed the most welcoming of all. I was here on 06/08 for dinner and the place was packed. I wanted a table for myself, I was walked in, but the hostess came to realize there wasnt... More

I go to Tono at least once a week and I am always satisfied with the experience. Their sushi rolls are great (especially the Rainbow Roll) and their happy hour special for single pieces of sushi is really good. They also serve complimentary bean sprouts with every meal.

Daughter chose this place as her graduation lunch. I didn't realize that the portions would be standard size. I thought they would be smaller. As such, I ended up ordering food I didn't eat. Just be aware that theirs 'soup' is an actual 'meal', not a starter. Having said that we ordered sushi, soup, fried rice, and curry chicken. Everything... More
