Why do we have to get the buffet on a Saturday afternoon?

Although the brunch buffet is well worth the wait and cost because bottomless mimosas are included, I was slightly annoyed that we couldn't order from the regular menu at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. Considering the fact that the buffet is $55 per person, I think that they should consider giving... read more

Business dinner, with a set menu of alternate choices still gave a very pleasant evening on the riverside. The room was give good views through large glass windows that changed pleasantly with both internal lighting and a may sunset. Loved my crab cake.

I can accept waiting 30 minutes for a table, well, even waiting 10 minutes for the waiter to take my order, but when your commulated waiting time extends 1 hour, it is very annoying. Now waiting for the waiter to get back with my credit card for over 20 minutes...

Our Sequoia experience was different than most; we were there for our friend's wedding reception. The venue is nice, and is situated with a scenic view of the Potomac River. Sequoia's staff keep the food and drinks coming. The appetizers were well done; the lamb chops, ahi nachos, and salmon lox creations were among my favorites. However, the oyster bar... More

Our bad night started with rudely telling us to come back in 30 minutes to get a table outside. We were called within 15 minutes. We ordered an appetizer and our dinner but said to hold the dinner. The dinner came within minutes of the appetizer. My salmon was tastless. It was supposed to be infused with coconut but it... More

The Sequoia used to be a fabulous restaurant. Not today! Granted, the WWII flyover was today. The restaurant was sadly under-staffed and turned away clients from a mostly empty restaurant. Clients waited for over 20 minutes for a drink. ($20 a drink for lousy mix. ) It took an hour to receive lunch. Bread was abundant to cover for the... More

The Sequoia is a great dinning experience. The outside tables have a great view and not crowded. The wait staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The food is very good and reasonably priced for this section of town.

It was a warm spring Sunday night around 7pm and to be fair, we didn't start out by wanting to go to Sequoia. We actually went to 3 other restaurants in that area but for various reasons, either being seated and not waited on after waiting more than 10 minutes just to be acknowledged in an almost empty restaurant or... I've been wanting to go to Sequoia for some time. So when my friends wanted to do a girls night I made us a reservation. Upon arrival I marveled at the view and that all quickly turned sour when time was not of the essence for the wait staff. The food took over 30 minutes to be delivered to our... More
