Beautiful View

We ate here on our recent stay in DC. The service was superb the food was good, but very pricey. I had scallops there were only 4 in the dish.

On the advice of two different couples we made a point of making reservations at Sequoia. The design of the restaurant is excellent. The waterfront view is incredible. Unfortunately, that is the end of positive contribution of this review. This location has a very touristy feel. I found the overall location to be very sterile and without personality. Generally speaking,... More

We were part of a vert large business group dinner. It's a bit hard to find but worth it. The view of the harbor & river is amazing. Try to be there at sunset. If the weather is nice they have lots of outdoor seating. It's a bit pricey but the food was good as was the service. It's a... More

I've been going here since the "good" days on the late 90s. I proposed to my wife here 15 years ago. The food used to be really really good. Now it's moreover just an incredible view and less about the food. On this last visit entire family (party of 6) ordered the special, it was a filet mignon. It came... More

I attended a wedding here last week, it's a beautiful location with views of the Potomac river, ideal set up for a wedding. Food was really good. My only criticism would be that some of the staff appear to work very hard and were attentive which of course is there job but then one particular girl let the team down... More

I'll give it a 3, but I have to say I really didn't like Sequoia. It could be that I went with the wrong expectations, but the place felt very confused to me. The outside was a loud mix of college students and mostly drunk middle-agers in search of long-lost youth dancing and partying, so if you were hoping to... More

This is a wonderful place to enjoy Christmas Brunch. We were able to get a reservation very late in the day Christmas Eve for the next day. The restaurant is bright at airy on right on the Potomac so the view is great. I was very impressed by the variety and quality of food offered for the brunch. Everything was... More

Sitting by the window of this restaurant gives you a great view of the Potomac. The ambiance is appealing and the food is also good. It is a great place for a drink and an appetizer or dinner with a date.

I went there for Dinner with friends and ordered the Lobster & Shrimp Enchilada Fettuccine. It is definitely a great dish that just rapes your seafood-loving taste buds! The pasta, lobster, shrimp and white sauce could not make a better combo. Very much recommended. The ambiance was really vibrant and fun with everyone talking loud and enjoying their drinks while... Great ambiance and beautiful decor, went in just for a drink as most restaurants were closed on Christmas day.
