Every couple needs that one expensive, romantic yet luxurious restaurant destination and for my fiancé and I, that place is Sequoia. We went for Saturday brunch---bottomless mimosas until 330pm, great staff, and a beautiful view of the water. It's worth what you pay for!

My husband and I ate lunch at Sequoia after disembarking from the river cruise. The restaurant offered a great view of the Potomac River and since it was off-season we had our pick of the outside tables. Although the food was great--crab cakes and fish tacos--the waitress failed to pay attention to our table and the service was not the... More

I met a friend for drinks on Sequoia's patio this week. When there is a rat running around he owns the place, you KNOW that there is a problem. Mind you, the waterfront is full of them but I do not expect a restaurant of this caliber to have little visitors. The only thing that we were happy about was... More

We were sitting outside, where the patio seating is casually elegant and has a great view of the river. We enjoyed watching the tourist boats and the beautiful backdrop of the riverbanks. When our entrees came, pork, chicken and swordfish were all delicious and attractively presented. A storm front rolled in as we enjoyed the first few bites. Heavy winds... More

I was sadly a little disappointed with Sequoia. If you were to take someone on an expensive, romantic riverside dinner date - then sure Sequoia might prove it's worth. However, if you are looking for intimate, look somewhere else. The sheer size of this restaurant makes it feel empty and the atmosphere quite dull. The interior design is exquisite. The... More

My friends wedding reception was at the Sequoia. The location was great. Waterfront. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of organization. When we arrived at the restaurant after the wedding ceremony, nobody can tell us where to go for the cocktails. And when finally was directed to go to the reserved hall, it was very confusing. Guests are... More

Sequoia has stellar river front views and floor to ceiling windows. I have eaten there for both lunch and dinner and can say that the views are stunning no matter what time of day you happen to be there. Service was attentive and professional. Food was delicious. Great restaurant!

Firstly let me say, Sequoia has possibly the best location in Georgetown. It's multilevel structure that has panoramic views of the harbor is very eye catching. The interior is beautiful and during good weather the patio is the place to be. We went for the Sunday brunch buffet and though it's a touch pricey, it's worth it due to selection.... More

I had never eaten at Sequoia before, but was excited to eat on the patio on an absolutely glorious evening in August in DC! I know great August weather in DC - unheard of. We had out of town guests and thought Sequoia would be a really snazzy way to show off our city. The lovely host seated us outside... More

Sequoia has built its reputation on its location right on National Harbor. Its outside tables and second floor dining room with floor to ceiling windows make the Potomac accessible to diners and drinkers. Throughout a meal, either inside or outside, there is something to watch on the river. The food is OK although not great with the seafood being the... More
