Best View in ALL of DC

Sequoia is in a class of its own and no one can touch it with its vastness and vanity. NO restaurant in DC comes close to the views from the decks and the dining rooms of Sequoia as well as the people inside, outside and all around the Washington Harbour. We visited Sequoia for a business meeting. We underestimated the time it would take to walk to Sequoia from the Foggy Bottom Underground station. We ended up walking in rush hour traffic and at one time we had to wind ourselves around an overpass where traffic was gridlocked. Walking was probably faster than the DC traffic at that time. We... I wanted a brunch restaurant on the water. We choose Sequoia in Georgetown. We were seated promptly and were on the window. Our waiter, Curtis asked us what we wanted to drink and gave us the Mimosa options. The orange juice and the pineapple Mimosas were excellent. The food was via buffet style. Where do I begin? Dessert first: the... More

My family celebrated Mother's Day at this restaurant. There was a brunch buffet for this occasion. The service, ambiance, and food was outstanding. The buffet offered a variety of food from breakfast items to seafood to prime rib. The view of the Georgetown water front added to overall experience and I recommend Sequoia's for a special celebration.

This was our second visit for the Christmas buffet brunch in three years. As we did in the past, we enjoyed the food and the views. The service was slow but we eventually got what we needed each time. They were very good at keeping my husband's mimosa topped up. The food was fresh and there were a lot of... More

We we went to Sequoia for brunch on Christmas and were very pleased. We sat at a window table and the views were spectacular despite the rainy day. Brunch was $65 per person, prix fixe, and included unlimited cocktails (choice of Bloody Marys, mimosas, or bellinis) and buffet (including raw bar, Peking duck, crab cakes, prime rib, an omelette and... I'm not a DC resident but we were in town to visit friends. This place was highly recommended and I can see why. Every member of our party of four reported a superlative meal. I had a great strip steak and sampled the filet mignon and the duck that our friends ordered. Even my saffron pear salad was excellent. Now... More

We were four adults for dinner. The restaurant is spacious with a second floor balcony overlooking the main floor. The restaurant main floor is up a flight of stairs. The decorations are tasteful and the Restaurant overlooks the river. The down side is that the night we were there the beer taps were not working. There was no beer on... More

We recently attended a wedding and reception at this location. The views of the Potomac and the Kennedy Center are awesome. The location was easily accessed by a short walk away from the street. The large room for the wedding/reception was magnificent. The staff did a wonderful job making sure everyone was well taken care of. The food selection of... More

During our conference in Washington DC last week we went to Sequoia after a tour of the Capitol Building. I thought it was a fantastic place for a group of our size (approx 120). The setting is stunning overlooking the water and it's surrounded by other lovely buildings. We opted for buffet food which was a great selection and all... More
