Tempting though it may be to dine at this waterfront restaurant - with its floor-to-ceiling windows that offer amazing views of the Potomac River - save yourself the money. You can do better. Prices at Sequoia are about $30/person for a dinner entree, and the food is subpar. Not terrible, mind you, but certainly not worth the price. Our "Peel... More

Sequoia is nice for a casual meal by the waterfront although in is a bit pricey. The food is above average but not great. I had the whole fish special and my wife had the Pork chop. Oysters were good as was the house salad. If it wasn't for the location I would not return. The waterfront is a happening... More

This was a great place to have drinks and dinner on the water. Service was good. We order starters and enjoyed the view. Will go back.

Great location next to the Ptomac. Service is pretty lousy. We were there for lunch and wanted to see the soccergame on the big screen outside. At first they wouldn't even serve at the table where we sat. The salad was reasonable, but to expensive. Avoid.

We enjoyed a lovely dinner on the Potomac Waterfront at Sequoia. The wait staff was attentive, also providing an indoor table as rain approached. Our appetizer was a tastefully presented cheese board sampler. The four members of our party dined on steak, pasta, and fish entrees, all of which were delicious.

As a belated Father's day gift, I made a reservation for my entire family to dine. We drove down from New Jersey to make our 6:15 reservation and while we were promptly sat, that was about the only thing that was prompt. We waited 20 minutes for a server to approach our table and 2 hours for our food-- with... More

We were sat by a not so happy Hostess. We got a server after half an hour. Good thing the server was nice. The table we were sat wasnt cleaned. Its dirty. Even has poop of birds... Ugh! The only thing that made me to chose this place is because of the view.

I have never written a review before, but this was so outrageous, I simply had to. I went for a late lunch around 2:30. The restaurant was nearly empty at this time. The hostess began to seat me at a very small table next to a column which would have prevented me from doing some work that I wanted to... More

Dear Sharon, I am incredibly sorry to hear about your poor experiences at Sequoia! While I am heartened to hear that you enjoyed your food and server during your first visit, I understand that it simply doesn’t make up for the subpar treatment you received at the beginning of your first visit and the absent server from your second. We... More

Had drinks with friends and asked about something that was not on the menu (it was a lunch item and we were there for brunch). We waited just a few minutes before the manager - Ryan - arrived. He was incredibly polite and offered to accommodate us. With so many guests around we really appreciated the individual attention. The special... More

There were 3 in our party. I had salmon, which was good, but not outstanding. Daughter had vegetable strudel, and thought it was very good. Husband had cioppino, which he thought was overlooked, rubbery and bland. Waiter accidentally spilled fish stock on husband's clothes; manager did offer to pay for cleaning; however since we were out of town, we respectfully... More
