We had a very enjoyable dinner at Sequoia on a beautiful summer evening. Sort of disappointed that our cocktails were served in plastic cups, and my crab salad was a very small entree, but dessert and coffee were very good. We were seated quickly at a table of our choice and we were never rushed at all. Great view, colorful... More

Very glamorous way as a tourist to enjoy the Washington Harbour, with the outside patio trees lit up at night and a slick-looking interior. I found the dining room too cavernous, though, almost like a hotel dining room. Food was simply average and you are paying for the view. Still, location is a 10 and you have access to the... More

This restaurant is beautiful inside and out. Huge windows give tons of light during the day, with lovely views of the Potomac river. On the patio at night the trees are lit up, giving a romantic atmosphere that would be hard to beat anywhere. The food is very good: seafood would seem to be the house specialty. The red snapper... I should have been wary; on Wednesday, restaurant had no reservations available within 2.5 hours of my desired 6 pm time on Saturday. On Friday, 6 pm dining was readily available, and on Saturday, the restaurant was maybe only half full. Why? Well, it turned out they had a big wedding in the main dining room, so two hours before... We went after a performance at the Kennedy center. We were ushered into a tiny table wedged between two other couples even though the place was half empty. We had looked at the menu online so we knew what we were going to order. Needless to say that neither of the dishes we were looking forward to were on the... More

We went here not knowing that Sequoia is quite well known for their huge brunch buffet! The food selection allows for just about anyone's tastes to be satisfied. There are also some free cocktails and champagne (or prosecco, possibly). The location is certainly worth mentioning, too. You have perfect views of the water and the promenade. There's a lot of... We sat outside over looking the Potomac. What a great view. We had the pleasure of having Sunny be our server, she was efficient, professional, patient and fun! It is expensive so beware and portions are quite small, but for apps and drinks in a great setting, you can't go wrong. Great place for visitors. ..thanks again Sunny!!

An excellent location situated on Washington Harbour amidst the yachts and water. The food, drinks, and staff were wonderful. I would warn that the scallops entree is only four medium scallops served with a scoop of mashed potatoes and one piece of asparagus at the $32 price. It was very good but a much smaller portion than anticipated based on... More

Went with friends on a Sunday evening (8ish), party of 10. Plenty of space available, outdoors, with great views (although non-stop airplanes of course). First impression was good, waiter was OK but then his sarcastic humor came out (poor). Menu was very pricey ($30 typical entree). Kids coices were poor, so ended with chicken fingers which were hard and fries.... More
