Location location location. Outside dinning for lunch is fantastic. Food is very good and service is excellent. Enjoy the ambience and the view of a hustle busy corner. Great for people watching and a fine glass of wine.

Prices are high, even for happy hour. Drinks were well made and tasted great. Food was fairly decent with portions on the smaller side of things. Service was courteous but slow. Took 10 minutes before anyone even came to our table. 20 minutes went by before first drinks arrived and food was 40 minutes after our arrival on a slow... More

Kick back and have a glass of wine or tea on this patio. Enormous and tree shaded you'll enjoy your stay. Not an enormous menu at lunch, but I don't regret being here.

This restaurant is severely overrated. Promises much, but very disappointing. Food was lukewarm at best - even worse was the staffs flippant attitude when this was pointed out.

When a restaurant does not have a tasting menu on a Saturday night, red flags go up. We had a feeling things were not right and we were right, the chef had left. Has the old library look but the bread was corn bread. Good for southern cuisine but was out of place here. If they had prepared with menu... More

We had no reservation but was seated quite promptly in a very nice table. Nice decor, with great ambient. Service was fast with the friendly staff. Appetisers was great, especially the scallop. The salmon was prepared perfectly and the rib was heavenly. Only regret was unable to eat the desert, which sound divinely, as we were all too well fed.

Visited Occidental Grill just a couple of days ago. The place is very well set and the service was perfect. I had some oysters and then a delicious swordfish whose composition of onion and oranges just was outstanding. Will like to return in the future, no doubt about it.

My wife and here were staying the the W hotel next door and the occidental grill has been recommended to us by a couple we had meet in St Petes Beach. We decided to sit inside rather than on the terrace as it was a bit dark out there and it's a great restaurant with lots of history. The service... More

I had lunch with a friend there, food selection was alright, we sat at the outdoor patio and it was really lovely, we could do a little bit of people watching while having our lunch.

Dear MsCeeElle, Thank you for spending the afternoon with us at the Occidental Grill & Seafood. While it is great that enjoyed the atmosphere, we are disappointed that you found the food to be just "okay."
