Excellent, if pricey, business lunch if you enjoy it with wine

Four of us went for lunch and sat outside on a glorious May afternoon. The food was as excellent also most reviewers have been saying for years. Highlights were the almost filler-free crabcakes, and the grilled asparagus side three of us had as an appetizer because the special asparagus (which... read more

This restaurant is just north of the White House. Tasteful decor. Delicious food - I particularly liked the oyster

What a wonderful experience last night at Equinox! The restaurant is lovely, well appointed and welcoming. The table was beautifully set, the service attentive. I had the vichyssoise which was creamy and delicious. In our group we had the scallops, beef and veal, all artfully presented and delectable. The key lime and coconut desert was sublime. The wine selection was... More

Wonderful food, friendly excellent service and a beautiful room for an upscale DC dinner. Truffled risotto fritters an unusual and tasty starter and the halibut, which has to be really fresh to be good, was exquisite. Others enjoyed the duck breast and a scallop and shrimp combo. Valet parking and around the corner from a Metro station.

Seven longtime friends enjoyed a wonderful dinner gathering at Equinox, just a block or so from the White House. We immediately realized Equinox is a quiet oasis in today's world of high decibel restaurants. The quality of the dinner selections chosen by our party was beyond superb. Guests raved about the warm Gruyere Cheese Gougères and the fresh salads with... More

there is no doubt that there are some excellent cuisine being created here. The desserts alone are worth the price of admission. The concerns are with preparation/front of house execution. The coat closet is an actual closet, and you have to split between tables to get there - awkward for you and the people you are leaning over. The staff... More

The vegan brunch at Equinox is fabulous.I am not vegan but decided to try the brunch because of word of mouth recommendations. Service was excellent. It is buffet and we stayed a long time-we never felt rushed.Eating in this cozy setting was a wonderful way to relax with a close friend.Everything from the onion soup to the beet salad to the... Pros: French Toast Tofu Scramble Cons: Limited Brunch Dishes Price I was expecting more!!!!!!!!! However, the tofu scramble was excellent and the chef is very talented. I would encourage people to try the vegan brunch, but it would be a better experience if there was a bigger spread of brunch dishes.
