I came here for a private dinner and had a prix dice menu so I am unsure if that represents well the overall menu. The food was perfectly fine but for this price I would expect more. Easily, that appears to be owned by the same people is much better. If you want an upscale ambience I guess this place... More

The ambiance is very attractive, linen tablecloths, banquettes for seating as well as various size tables, and attentive service. The food was excellent and we had a variety of dishes. Spicing was perfect, quantity appropriate, and in general a very very good experience. Pricey but worth it.

My wife and I are vegetarian and always seek out Indian restaurants when we travel. We had dinner twice at this restaurant during a recent visit to DC. Both times the food and service were exceptional. The atmosphere was refined, yet somehow casual and not stuffy. The manager personally walked around the floor and talked to the patrons. Simply a... I came to this place while they were having their "restaurant week" menu. I felt that the menu options were very limited, only about 7-8 appetizers and then 7-8 entrees to choose from, and then 4 desserts. The food was excellent, but only eat here if you like small gourmet Indian menus. For example, you will not find samosas, pacoras,... More

This was my first experience with Indian cuisine....and after this experience, it certainly isn't going to be my last! I went here with some business associates on a Thursday evening. We got there early and were seated promptly; however by the time we left, there was a wait. No one at the table had any experience with Indian cuisine, so... More

Great restaurant, fantastic tasting food, a little pricey but well worth it. I'm a Vegan and there are still some excellent dishes on the menu - the Dal Makhani is to die for and the potato stuffed Paratha is excellent also. My girlfriend has the lamb shank and she said that was really good. Can be a bit of a... More

I have the pleasure of not living too far away from this wonderful restaurant and it has been a Washington, DC fixture for many, many years. Every visit reminds me why this is the best Indian food and more, just a special one-of-a-kind experiences for a special occasion. The service is impeccable, the food is amazing, and the atmosphere is... More

We dine at Bombay Club regularly and had a lovely meal on New Year's Eve. First, the service is always impeccable, attentive without being fawning. Second, the food is always of very high quality, well-seasoned but without the heavy hand that might mask the quality of the underlying ingredients. Finally, the atmosphere is lovely, elegant and yet serene. I heartily... More

We celebrated and early Christmas dinner here with son and D-i-L who are locals and the meal was in a word DIVINE. We each ordered something different and definitely had plenty to share. We all agreed the Chicken Pista was the best dish we ordered. We also tried Garlic naan that was magnificent!

Really good food in an elegant setting. Moderate prices. We took some out of town friends to the Bombay Club on Christmas Eve. The place was packed--it always seems to be. Some fellow diners were dressed to the nines, others were in jeans and sweaters. We had drinks before dinner in the roomy bar lounge and were seated immediately when... More
