Cactus Cantina is the closest Mexican restaurant to where we stay in DC, and we have often gone there for the convenience. But, this time, it was very disappointing. While the food was pretty good, the new renovations to the restaurant are terrible. The noise level in the dining room is so high that, even if you are with just... More

Great chips and salsa. Good margaritas, Regularly offered items are very good. Daily specials don't seem to be as good as they used to be, so have stopped ordering them. Service is great … especially if you get Paco or Alexi.

They charge extra for sour cream. That about sums it up. Pitcher of margarita $37. The food was generally comparable but next time...guapos.

This place will always have a special place in my heart. I make a deliberate effort to eat at Cactus Cantina anytime I visit DC, regardless of the reason for visiting. The food is really good, regardless of what anyone else says, and the people who work there are some of the best people I've met. Students, immigrants, professionals from... More

This is a typical Mexican restaurant. The food is really good and that's why we keep coming back whenever we are in the neighborhood. It's spacious so it's good for groups and it's family friendly too! We have been here with friends that had a baby in a stroller and another toddler and they were able to accommodate us immediately!... More

The service was OK. But the food was bad and tasteless. The salsa which they complimentary was bland and zero taste / spice. When asked for hot salsa the server said they don't have one. How can Mexican restaurants don't have hot salsa? I ordered cheese enchiladas where I only get tasteless tomato sauce on cheese enchiladas served with rice... More

As someone from the Western U.S., I am always in search of a good Tex-Mex place, but even more so, as a non-drinker, I am always in search of the perfect virgin margarita. My search is over! It was AMAZING!! It was the perfect frozen lime margarita with salt on the rim. It may not sound like such a big... More
