We were told about this place from a friend that lived in the area. It was so good! If they had a meal of tortillas I would have ordered that, they were incredible. We split the beef fajitas and they were so good. I would recommend if you are visiting the national cathedral, its 5 mins down the street and... More

The food is average. I keep going back because I want it to be better than mediocre but it never is. Mexican food in DC in general isn't great, but this place is such a let down and kind of grimy. The bathrooms need some love. Go there for margaritas (upgrad, the standard aren't that great), chips and salsa (which... More

This restaurant was good for lunch. Fun atmosphere. Good service. Reasonably priced for DC. The food was good but nothing outstanding. Overall, I would come here again to eat but wouldn't go out of my way to return.

Ate a late lunch after a day of sightseeing in Washington. The place is beautiful and with great ambiance. The food was delicious, delivered very promptly and the service was excellent. The servers were courteous and friendly.

Every time I am in NW Washington around the Cathedral, I make it a point to eat lunch here. Great tacos and fajitas. In addition they make their own tortillas on site. However the best part is the chips and salsa and margaritas while you wait for your lunch. We have visited both with adults and with family. Either way,... More

My wife and I went to the Cactus Cantina restaurant on a Saturday night in January. I had the beef brisket tacos-this was a menu special. My wife had the beef flauta platter- a regular menu item. Both were very good. The beef brisket tacos were served with onions, cilantro, pico de gallo, rice, barbecue sauce and tomatillo sauce. My... More

Cactus Cantina is the closest Mexican restaurant to where we stay in DC, and we have often gone there for the convenience. But, this time, it was very disappointing. While the food was pretty good, the new renovations to the restaurant are terrible. The noise level in the dining room is so high that, even if you are with just... More
