A Lovely Meal!

Four of us (celebrating 2 birthdays) had dinner recently at Restaurant Nora. We ate in the dining room that must be accessed by taking the stairs outside. Because it was raining heavily that evening, we went though the kitchen - an interesting (and unexpected) start to the evening! The service was... read more

Tucked away on Fla NW & R, on a corner w/2 floors; very quaint, more formal. Downstairs room smallish while up is large (25 tables apx). Love being escorted outside to go up stairs - entrance for upstairs is on the side street (R). Salads & appetizers excellent -- special mention for the calf liver dish (just enough). Entrees: remember... More

We enjoyed our meal here quite a bit - the salmon was cooked perfectly and the rhubarb fruit crisp was delicious. But the service was stressed and very abrupt and the prices are a tad high. Also, since the main dining room is so crowded with tables, it's quite loud

The setting is in an historic building with multiple dining rooms of various sizes. Food was outstanding and unique. Service was great and wine list met even the pickiest of guests. Make reservations and be sure to realize you will pay for the experience

The food was great. The experience and ambiance were fantastic. I had just seen the owner, Nora, on CBS Sunday the day before. So, I had an interest. I was pleasantly surprised that Nora is only 1/2 a mile from The Embassy Row Hotel.

My brother lives in DC and recommended we go here while in town last week. We were a group of 5 and went for dinner on a Saturday night. We got seated at least 30 minutes after our reservation time. The staff were apologetic after we sat down and brought us a soup, which the waiter said to enjoy while... More

I have been to Restaurant Nora's several times and am always surprised and impressed by the creative and fresh menu items. There are many unique ingredient combinations, for example, this trip I really enjoyed the pistachio endive rhubarb date salad with champ vinaigrette and the gold and red beets with feta, though the menu is always changing. The ambience is... More

Touted as the first certified organic restaurant in the U.S., the cuisine did not disappoint. The wine list was adequate, predominantly organic and sustainably sourced. The menu offered a substantial variety of fare, all of which sounded wonderful. We enjoyed a splendid wild - caught salmon, similar halibut and grass fed beef. Unlike many restaurants in which the waitstaff stutters... More

We had a wonderful organic dinner that was prepared and presented to perfection. Three of us are without alcohol and one desert (all three had a salad or starter) for 220 dollars--respectable given the quality. Service was outstanding as well. The dinning area is a little tight and loud and the bathrooms--both very small and began to need cleaning badly... More
