My wife and I went to Restaurant Nora hoping we would not be - once again - disappointed by an over priced, small plate of DC food. Thank God. We were not. Consistent with the places I review well, the restaurant has a small boutique feel, is clean, and serviced by a friendly staff. I love places with a small... More

We went for our 10 year anniversary. Decent ambiance , superb service. Got a salad and fried okra . The fried okra was absolutely delicious. The salad was nothing exciting. Good Gorgonzola on the salad along with the black figs. I had the halibut a bit dry and forgettable . My wife had the veal curry she enjoyed it very... More

Finally, we tried Restaurant Nora. The danger of "finally" trying a storied restaurant is that it may not live up to the hype -- and that was the case with our evening out. The dining room is quite comforable and the service was friendly, helpful, and prompt (several different servers took care of different aspects of our meal). They brought... More

A group of us from out-of-town had a wonderful meal after work last week. The room is beautiful, with colourful weavings and artwork on the walls, and a wooden plane hanging from the ceiling. The food was very good - I had a beet and goats cheese salad, followed by salmon, and the quality was very high. Only minor annoyance... More

Incredible atmosphere and an outstanding range of delicious food to try at Nora in Washington DC. I was there for a very crowded working meeting however the service was impeccable and the whole quality of the evening to be remembered. This is how "food service" (and food culture) should be done!

Excellent food prepared with extremely fresh ingredients. The menu changes constantly so the chef can utilize only the best ingredients; most locally provided. Good service, nice dining room that is of the more quiet, intimate type. Can't wait to go back!!!!

Nora was a find when it opened in the Eighties, an expensive one, but such good and imaginative food in an attentive and lovely surrounding. I lived nearby and used to enjoy it as a gem of a neighborhood restaurant. If my experience a few months back is valid (sorry for the delay), this is no more the case. Nora,... More

I have been having to stay for work in the DuPont area for years.. But stupidly stuck to CT street .. If I'd only known this gem was several blocks from CT ave.. I'd been coming here for years .. Lovely menu and food. Ask for Jack, a manager, if you want wine selection advice. The menu is diverse as... More

Ordered the chicken curry and the endives salad and it all tasted so fresh and great! The service was excellent and the atmospgere was perfect for a romantic dinner. It is truly a neighborhood gem and cant wait to go back. The tiramisu was good also!

The Gazpacho was one of the best ever. Service was both professional and personable. A beautiful evening with excellent food.
