I love going to this restaurant, so when they offered a Groupon for their Sunday brunch, I immediately bought one. Five weeks before it expired I tried to book a table on line, but it couldn't find a table. So, I called. They said they were booked solid until a date one week after the Groupon expired. The person who... More

Good homemade pasta and Osso bucco. Very good veal cutlets as well. Sauces tend to be heavy and portions are huge. If you can would recommend splitting dishes. Not family friendly as they would not do half portions and did not have a dedicated children's menu. I thought presentation could be better as they mounded all of the fresh pasta... More

If you are a whining picky hipster foodie, just stay away to open up tablespace for the likes of me!!! I have been here multiple times, and have added this to my "must eat here list" when I am in DC. When I crave the comfort of good hearty traditional italian food and service, this is what I have in... More

Definitely a boisterous atmosphere! Not exactly what I was expecting (quiet, intimate evening with my honey in a small authentic restaurant), but still enjoyable (and authentic). Decor is a bit dark and very Victorian...with a million or so Easter Bunnies hanging from the ceiling! The place is huge...one descends the stairs and you think you are entering into a small... More

2nd time we've visited and we're more impressed than the first time. We were in Georgetown on a college visit and this was a highlight. Filomena's is one very popular restaurant. Absolutely packed both times we were there(last visit was a weeknight this time was Friday night) yet somehow they move people through and it all works. Found a seat... More

We dined at Filomena again but this time we brought a family who had never dined there. We reserved a nice large table. One of our guest even described some ingredients and a special dish not on the menu was created for him. There are so many delicious menu items it is always hard to choose but there are a... More

Boisterous atmosphere, Victorian decor, relatively good service considering the crowd, and absolutely delicious food (what really matters anyhow). Order the arugula and citrus salad and the cheese ravioli with tomato sauce. Consistently good food. They even have a mamma by the front window making the pasta - very authentic!

We visited Filomena's while on our honeymoon and it was one of the nicest meals we've ever had. We turned up without a reservation on a busy night, they told us to come back in 45 mins so we popped down to Martin's bar (where JFK proposed to Jackie) for a drink while we waited & we were so glad... Have been dinning there, at least 3-4 times a year for the past 10 years and received good service every time. Thank you Dino, staff and owners for all the good food and memories.

Despite arriving bang on time we were told our table wasn't ready and we were asked to stand around. When we did sit down though the food was good and service excellent. The place has a fun atmosphere and the waiters go along with this. The only criticism I might have is that the portions are enormous, no way a... More
