Probably one of the best Italian food dining experiences you can have anywhere. Worth the wait to get in (always packed). Reservations a must and usually on time, but you could end up waiting a few. Atmosphere, food, service FANTASTICO! Reasonably priced wine list + some very expensive but worthwhile wines. Everyone's attitude was just what you would expect from... More

We were very happy with our evening at Filomena. The place is large and busy, but we received excellent service throughout our dinner. The portions are very large- the gnocchi was to-die-for and my husband had a lovely fish special. We also enjoyed a reasonably priced bottle of prosecco. We were too stuffed for dessert, but those looked good as... More

Arrived at this basement restaurant with high expectations for a fine dining experience. Had to wait more than 25 minutes before my table was ready even though I had a reservation. Wine list is adequate, although the wines by the glass are unimaginative. The decor is very old style with grandma's lace doiles as place-mats on the tables. As it... More

The outside if the restaurant is misleading, when you ho in and go downstairs you nitice the large room decorated with flowers and honestyle. Foid was excellent hone style cooking large portions. Highlu recommend for large hroups but alao romantic dinner.

But the meatballs are to die for. In fact, everything I had was fantastic. Starting with the homemade pasta, made by the "Pasta Mammas", who you get to see working at the front window as you walk in, to the service which was as good as any I've had anywhere, my group commented that we had to come back next... Food from bread and rolls through the complimentary Amaretto and Zambuca for our party of 11 to finish washing down the meal was excellent. Everything was very fresh and arrived piping hot.

As restaurants become cooler and try to attract a young crowd with a funky-retro menu, cool mixologist who brews his own bitters... there's always FIlomena to remind you of dining of yester-year when waiters wore tuxedos, had impeccable timing and attention to detail and eating out was an elegant experience. The food is outstanding- always. Of course it is- there's... More

Quirky old-styled restaurant with grandma's Italian favorites. Seems like grandma even decorated the restaurant down to the lace doilies at the table. Huge portions. Efficient and professional staff who are used to turning a lot of tables quickly.

Had reservation for 9:30 and arrived at 7:45. Maitre d had us seated bu 8:30. Great start. Wait staff, Dario, very friendly, helpful, efficient. Food excellent. Portions huge so plan on sharing. High energy ambience but you can still have a conversation at normal volume. Lived up to it's reputation.
