My cousin had booked us dinner while I was visiting DC. Filomena's was pretty busy and we had to wait a little bit for our table but the service was excellent. I was impressed by the "pasta mamma's" I saw at the entrance so ordered the agnolotti. Pasta was excellent but they may want to lighten up on the cream... More

We asked at the Hotel we were staying for the best italian restaurant in the city and they suggested Filomena. We arrived on time and we waited 15 min to be seated, thats ok, the place was very busy. The decor is very dated and didn't have any Italian appealing at all. Already by looking at the menu there were... More

My niece, son and I had a lovely dinner at Filomena. We started with two appetizers. Would recommend the mussels they were delicious. I had the daily special ravioli stuffed with veal... It was wonderful as well! The staff was attentive. The evening ended delightfully when they brought us some decanters of amaretto which we were invited to enjoy for... More

Three of us walked in with out a reservation around 9PM and were seated about 20 minutes later. We must have been in staff transition because we were left on our own without any attention for another 20 minutes. We were talking so much, we didn't notice for awhile. One we went and found someone our order was taken quickly... More

This place served very good food, but I can't help but think of it as a tourist trap. I have a hard time justifying $26 for a bowl of pasta. The service was excellent, and our waiter was very attentive. The place is also quite loud.

We were dropped off right in front of Filomena's by our hop on hop off bus, so we decided to try it. The food is delicious, and the service is perfect. What this restaurant needs is an up to date renovation! It is has too many plastic plants and the upholstery is a little dingy too ! Also, you shouldn't... More

The whole experience was just great. We were greeted warmly and the service was friendly and efficient. The dining room was old school Italian with cherubs and candles and statues. The menu offered a ton of authentic Italian dishes (not fried calamari and chicken parmigiano). The shrimp risotto with lobster cardinale sauce was simply brilliant and the Festivale in Venezia... I had high expectations based on everyone's reviews, but it did not measure up. First, we were 5 minutes late for our reservation and they told us our table was already taken. Really???? Where I come from, reservations are held for 15 minutes. The decor was a little kitschy, which was OK, but not what I was expecting. Service was... More

Went on a busy Saturday night. Front desk was not impressive. Having a reservation still means you may wait half an hour for your table. I saw them give a party a tough time because the other people were not there yet but then made them wait more than a half an hour. No one else was seated in that... More
