If you find yourself heading to Georgetown I would definitely recommend checking out this restaurant. Very good traditional Italian food and wine. You can actually watch them make the homemade pasta in the window. The Cheese Ravioli and Meatballs were delicious and so was the Fuscilli Pasta with the meat sauce. We ended the meal with Pumpkin Cheesecake that was... More

It lives up to it's billing. The food and the service was excellent. My only problem is the noise. It is not a place for a romantic dinner. Although somewhat pricey, it is not out of line. The portions served are than you can finish. Because we were traveling, we could not take a box with us.Wedid witness several taking... More

A conference in Georgetown gave us a great opportunity to visit this restaurant for a third time in four years. It was still a great experience from Giancarlo our friendly and attentive waiter (all their waiters have been schooled in making the patron feel very special) to the delightful old fashioned ambiance and delicious food. The menu is quite extensive,... More

Excellent restaurant with great service and food. You better have reservations because it is usually crowded. When you enter there are some stairs, so not recommended for people with knee or leg problems. Servers are friendly and helpful, but not Italian. So do not expect to practice your Italian here. They know they are famous so they try to keep... More

The only thing missing from this experience was family dysfunction. If Filomena's can hire people to come and start a drunk argument at the dinner table, this restaurant will be as close to a special occasion dinner at Nonna's as you can get. We were a large group and ordered appetizers to pass and share. The arancini were fantastic, I... More

The pasta was handmade and excellent. meatballs were like grandma made them. traditional red sauce tasted simmered for hours! Pesto (with a bit of cream) was very rich but delicious. Worth the wait. better to make reservations.

You step back in time, waiters in black tuxes flurry about, place is all abuzz. Food is exactly what you expect when you go to a good old fashioned Italian eatery. Lots to choose from. Not cheap but better to pay a price and get excellent food. Portions are huge.

What an amazing place. From the ladies at the entrance making the pasta to the incredible Halloween decorations (OK that won't be all year round !) this is serious Italian home cooking. Beware the huge portions, I doubt very much if many Europeans could clear the plates (go ahead, prove me wrong !), but sharing is totally acceptable 😄 Booking... More

From the moment we walked into Filomena's we loved it. This was our second visit and we truly enjoyed it both times. The atmosphere is fun and kitschy. The place was decked out for Halloween. Everyone that waited on us was terrific! So friendly and attentive. The dishes are traditional and delicious. We had the rice balls as an appetizer,... More

Watch the pastas being handmade in the front window. This restaurant has a wonderful menu, staff is attentive, and the ambiance is wonderful. coffee beans and amaretto served after dinner and on the house. Would recommend this restaurant to everyone.
