Unique Restaurant with Great Ambiance

Many different rooms sporting different themes (great for private parties) and eclectic art with high ceilings and cozy atmosphere. Very fun place to be - food was good, service was OK.

This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in DC. It is in an eclectic but fun and historic hotel...feels like and artsy version of a European guest house. The menu changes often. The Tabard goes seasonal and local with menu. The wine list is outstanding. If you are not on a diet and like sweets, the doughnuts dusted... More

This restaurant was recommended by a business associate. It was a short walk from the hotel and a pleasant eclectic surprise on entering the facility. The decor is unique and inviting; it sets the tone for the rest of the dining experience. The menu is just enough. The service was first class. The food was attractive and delicious.

Picked this one out of a local guide magazine. It was our wedding anniversary--and we picked a winner. Outstanding wait service to go with excellent cuisine. Started with a beet salad that included a bleu cheese and walnuts with a balsamic reduction. Beautifully plated. Scallops were perfect, as were the mussels. Did send the first crème brulee back as it... More

We went to the tabard for breakfast after reading its great reviews on TA. With a mostly empty dining room, we waited almost ten minutes to be addressed by the staff then another forty minutes to receive the incorrect order. The waiter said the correct food would be out in "two minutes" so we waited for another fifteen minutes before... More

Suggested by Washingtonian relatives as a good place to meet near our hotel Charming atmosphere, walk in thru lobby full of couches to bar. Restaurant has inside and outside seating and good menu choices. We had Crabcake, Scallops and Pork Chop, all excellent with great presentation and nice touches like real grilled veggies. Service good and desert so decadent that... More

The place is fantastic. They have a cozy patio in the back, with great atmosphere. The food is delicious and inventive (try the chilled avocado soup). Attentive, but not overbearing service.

We were a party of 6 and after some cajoling we were able to get adequate seating on the charming and delightful patio. We had a super wonderful waiter (Jaime) who provided excellent advice on the wine and took superb care of us all evening. I think everyone enjoyed their food. I can report that the caesar salad was very... More

I came to this place twice for their brunch (should have come more than twice and believe me I will). And both times their egg benedict batted a home run! Both times we sit outside and I think it's the courtyard atmosphere outside that brings serene while enjoying their brunch! I'm coming back again! Soon! Con: you need to reserve... More
