Best Brunch

The Tabard had a lovely atmosphere, and the restaurant seating is both indoor and outdoor. Though the building itself seems small, and was notably busy on a Sunday afternoon, we were seated in a quiet room after being led through a maze of other rooms. To start off the meal, we had sugared donuts... read more

Unique decor, great atmosphere that is a little old world but eclectic at the same time. We went for saturday brunch and sat outside on the patio. Really nice private spot, the food is delicious. had the biscuits and gravy appetizer which was lovely. Everything is delicious, I had the poached eggs with beef hash. The staff literally let us... Tabard Inn is such a unique but romantic setting, and the food and service were outstanding. Stepping into the Tabard Inn, you feel miles away from the hustle and bustle of Washington, DC and it was so nice to feel like we were getting away. I thought the service was outstanding, and some of the best food I have had.... More

The restaurant runs as smooth as silk, and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is so quaint and authentic, it's like stepping back in time.

The historical Tabard Inn is an experience to be savored! Although I did not stay or dine at the inn, I will do so in the future! Fab artifacts, dining on multi-levels including outdoors and a great bar! I enjoyed cocktails there and savored the glorious history! Dining is on linens, the menu is varied and looks scrummy! A great... More

We stopped by the Inn for a drink at the nice old bar... a few seats at a small bar and a very friendly bartender. After a great glass of wine it seemed natural to stay and eat. So happy that we did. We had a wonderful meal for a special occasion. It is charming and full of atmosphere... we... More

Great brunch with lots of tempting options. The atmosphere was wonderful and the outdoor patio is quaint. Our waiter was on top of everything. I recommend Tabard for a brunch with friends and make sure to get reservations.

First off, the back patio is amazing. It gets a lot sun, and is surrounded by red brick walls entangled by lush green creeping vines. The see through canvas top does a great job I diffusing the harsh sunlight so you get the benefit of lots of sunshine without the harsh sunny glare. The food is amazing. Please try the... More

This is a beautiful restaurant in a brownstone building; we felt like we were back in England in one of the old Inns there. There is a great cozy vintage bar and in and outdoor seating in a great setting. The service is very good and the food delicious! Would definitely come back!

It looks outdated on the outside but inside and especially the outside sitting area in the courtyard was breathtaking. The service was great (polite and attentive), amazing and tasteful cuisine and they had a good variety of cocktails. Enjoyed every aspect of Tabard Inn Restaurant and went there every single day for the 5 days in DC. Keep it up!
