Good not amazing

Great atmosphere and setting, very very busy ( we booked a table a few days earlier). Food was nice, didn't blow me away. Good service, and they sent an extra cake with a candle as they knew it was my husbands birthday which was a really nice touch.

Excellent!! Staff were absolutely amazing and food fantastic. Very well known for crab cakes as well if you like that kind of thing. We were lucky with group size and got a corner near the treasury building with great view and a small atmosphere feeling. Prices were super reasonable and probably a big part of keeping them doing so well.... More

Thanks so much for previous reviews. Itwas a long wait but the food was great. And so was the service. Had the crab cake, swordfish, and the best chicken in a while.

I went to the restaurant for brunch with my family and friends and we all enjoyed our food there. I ordered peach french toast and it was very delicious. Sweet but not too sweet and was great with fresh fruits. My cousin ordered eggs benedict and it was tasty but the poached eggs were slightly overcooked. The service was great.... More

Close to the White House, this historic restaurant has excellent food, wonderful service, and a friendly, comfortable atmosphere. Child and adult friendly! We went there a couple of times. Our favorite adult meal was the Crab Cake Dinner, the kids loved their Cheeseburger and Pasta Dinners! No Complaints! We loved this restaurant!

This turned out to be one of our favorite visits while we were in DC. The history of the place is incredible - and the decor and staff uniforms are great, they really add to the experience. We had a few drinks and tried the fried green tomatoes - all fantastic. Our bartender was amazing (it was a little loud... More

We had an amazing meal at the Old Ebbitt Grill. The food is excellent and priced reasonably. This restaurant is a Washington DC classic and you never know which powerful movers and shakers might be there. MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A RESERVATION! OTHERWISE YOUR DINNER WAIT WILL BE AT LEAST AN HOUR.

Unexpectedly decided to have dinner here recently while in D. C. Spent the day in a meeting, then decided to have drinks at the top of the Washington Hotel and while sitting there we decided to see if we could get in to have dinner at The Old Ebbitt Grill - it was very busy and quite a wait so... This was recommended to us and it did not disappoint. We arrived just before 5 and just as we're leaving there was a large queue. A great choice of food with fantastic staff. Would definitely recommend.
