Great atmosphere good food and service. One of our favorite places to eat in D.C.. Large selection to choose from. We went early. No wait for a table.

I was completely shocked to find a restaurant in the heart of Washington DC, a block or so from The White House with such horrible service. It may have more to do with the fact myself and my party were obviously tourists and not local. What made it horrible, other than taking our order our waiter was non existent, and... More

We were a party of 8 that had reservations for lunch. We arrived a few minutes early and were told that are reservations were for an hour later (we couldn't have made reservations for an hour later because we had meetings after lunch) After the confusion they told us that our table was ready and they sat us in an... Seems to be something interesting about dining across the street from the White House. Arrived at 8pm with reservation and seated right away. Staff very polite and professional. Appetizer was small. Entree prices reasonable. Our group of 3 was able to have very nice meals with appetizer and drinks for less than $100. Crab cakes excellent.

Cool place, spacious, with a good sort of fine beers. Ask for the seared salmon burger and you can't go wrong.

A restaurant where you feel the weight of history and can enjoy an excellent meal. We arrived without reservations and were told to anticipate a weight of about 30 minutes, but we were seated within 15. Service was prompt and professional, with our server providing several recommendations. I opted for a bowl of chowder, which stuck nicely to the ribs,... More

Party of 10. They set up our table in the bar. Then we asked to get moved to a nicer area. My wife ordered the filet and it was cold. Other people order the softshell crab and it was delicious. We did order the orca platter as an appetizer and it was half off before 6 PM. It was delicious... More

We had many recommendations to this place. We got reservations and immediately took in the history and ambiance of the place. It has a very high energy vibe. People constantly coming in wanting a table. There is a local feel that this is the "it" place. The bar is packed for happy hour which has an amazing half price oyster... More

Ate here on a whim after reading tripadvisor reviews. We weren't disappointed! The menu is large and the decor is very interesting. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The place is pricey, but worth it. We were there on a Wednesday night and the place was packed (1 hour wait). Make a reservation or allow time to wait.

Nuce happy hour with awesome variety of oysters but skip the stone crab claws. My favorite drink was the blue berry one. There's 4 or 5 bars and a rooftop.
