Stopped by after finding on Tripadvisor because of the cool history that the restaurant had. The atmosphere of the restuarant itself was fantastic, with great decor and lighting, but it clearly seemed to be more of a tourist attraction than anything (Mostly families with young kids and college age young adults.) That being said, it's right across the street from... More

Visited Old Ebbitt Grill with family on April 12th (Cherry Blossom Festival) for a Saturday lunch. From past experience reservations are a must. Raw oysters were a hit with my daughter and son-in- law. We ordered a variety of food to share and we enjoyed everything (from soup, to pizza to hot sandwiches). Drinks are reasonably priced. Our waitress was... More

The food was very good. We had visited Clydes the evening before not knowing it was owned by the same people. The bread was really yummy, the crab cakes delicious, great desserts. The cat fish was also very good and my mother enjoyed the oysters. They can accommodate large groups, just make a reservation, many who didn't weren't able to... More

Great food for dinner but focus is on the raspberry point oysters (happy hour for a dollar a piece), orca tower (literally everything high in from the sea) for half price, and a glass of rye whiskey to pair with those dishes. Great bar staff and 3 bars to choose from. Get there early though, it gets packed quick!

We needed lunch and found this place due to a review, glad we did, So good! It was so crowded at lunch time, I was a little surprised, but then again it was spring break. I had the chicken kale salad and was very pleased.

The food here was very good. All four of us were happy with our meals and appetizer. Our main server was rather short with us and rather condescending, even bordering on rude when my wife asked a simple question. However, the service was quick. The atmosphere would likely have been better later in the evening or at a slower time... More

We went there to have an evenning meal. If you do not want to wait, make a reservation. The food comes quickly, we ordered steak and pork. The taste was avarage but good. Sadly the dishes was not clean, knifes were missing and also the waiter was not very interressted in foreigners. All in all, it is a place you... More

We had dinner here as part of our tour group package. They put together a separate menu for our group with 5 dinner choices, including 1 vegetarian dinner. A special menu was pre-printed for our group, which was a very nice touch. I had the Hanger Steak, which was cooked exactly as I ordered. Very tasty and tender. The crispy... More

This place is an institution in Washington, DC. When in town, you absolutely need to go! Just make sure you make a reservation way in advance (at least 1 week). The service is great. First we sat at the bar while waiting for a table. The bartender introduced herself politely (as opposed to just saying "what can I get you?").... More
