Delicious oysters... highly recommended for a late night snack. Good atmosphere - a little old-school environment

I love the Old Ebbitt for brunch in DC. The crab cake eggs benedict is fantastic, especially with a bloody mary. Inside is classic DC and very much has "old school" charm. Helpful staff and awesome crabcakes!

We stumbled on the Old Ebbitt Grill from a recommendation from the Hotel. It was several blocks from our hotel but just a short walk. We didn't have a reservation but it was only 5:30 pm (if you know you will be going there, a reservation is recommended). They told us it would be about a 15 minute wait but... More

We've been to Old Ebbitt Grill a few times lately with out-of-town guests. It's well-located for tired, hungry tourists and somewhat of a touristy spot itself. The decor is pretty cool and the waitstaff usually has some good stories to tell about its history and recent visits by celebrities. The food is also pretty good, though a little over-priced (as... We came to the Old Ebbitt Grill on a recommendation, but failed to book ahead, just turning up on a Tuesday evening. We had to wait an hour for the table which took the shine off it a little. We both ordered pasta, which was very good, but I wish I'd thought about it, and ordered from the grill !!... More

The Old Ebbitt Grill is a spacious, traditionally decorated restaurant in Washington, DC where bartenders wear suspenders and the atmosphere is reminiscent of an old Hollywood film. The service was very pleasant and helpful. Our server made some great recommendations and was absolutely lovely. She even made some sightseeing recommendations. I ordered the eggs Chesapeake which were eggs benedict with... More

My wife & I had dinner here tonight. Service good. Quite busy, but we got in right away (~5 pm). We had crab cake sandwich (~$19), pork chop (~$19) and apple pie w/ice cream (~$8). All were very good. Nice warm atmosphere. Close to White House & Treasury Bldg. We'd go again.

Make sure you make reservations to visit, but then just enjoy. Also, time your attire to your time of arrival--we got there early and we could definitey see a progression from casual to much (MUCH) more dressy as the evening went on. But no matter. Nobody really cared!! The Staff was absolutely superb, food was wonderful and surprisingly super reasonably... More

A group of friends stopped in this place for after-dinner drinks. I could tell we had arrived because there were many people out front taking photos. I guess the place has a history :) There seemed to be multiple bars inside as well as a dining area. The place had a really nice old pub vibe and the groups of... More

We had reservations for Saturday at 7:30, however we arrived 15 minutes early and was pleasantly surprised to be shown straight to our table. We ordered the sliders and wings for starters; the wings portion was large enough to be a main course, both were very tasty. Unfortunately our waiter turned up half way through the course to ask if... More
