We arrived at about 6pm for dinner on a Friday. While the place wasn't empty, there were only a few other patrons. However, it was early. Both the service and the food were very good. Please try one (or more) of the octopus dishes. The Brussels sprouts with bacon were very good and the portion was large enough for two.... More

We stopped during a long walk and shared great appetizers and a nice bottle of wine. The wait staff was friendly and gave us good recommendations. The cheese plate contained three nice selections and the mushroom appetizer was delicious.

NIce interior; sort of industrial ceiling, open kitchen. A really nice waitress who was very helpful. We ordered small and medium plates, one better than the other. Olives and roasted marcona olives to start as small plates. Bread is not served- disappointing. White and red sangria was delicious. Pulpo (octopus) roasted was the best I ever tasted. Shrimp with heads... More

Pulpo has been in the neighborhood for a while so decided to give it a try, in spite of the mixed reviews. And the current groupon deal gave us the added incentive. Went for an early dinner on a weekday evening. The sleek industrial design interior was attractive. Downstairs dining room was long and deep, a few tables with a... More

This neighborhood restaurant always looked inviting so when I saw a living social for it I tired it. Their website advertises a large number of creative cocktails, but when I went there they said they are no longer doing cocktails. My friend ordered Sangria and it came with mostly ice. Sangria is never served with Ice. My friend tried to... More

This inviting-looking restaurant amf bat features tapas, or small plates, with a gourmet touch. A couple could spend almost $200 here for 8 small plates and a pitcher of sangria. So, they are trying hard to provide a gourmet experience. However, meal was a mixed success. The scallops, shrimp, and brisket plates were each am exotic eating adventure. A plate... More

This place is OK overall. Dishes came fast but not too fast, wide selection of small plates. Good selection and and good service. But one big and surprising weak spot - their signature octopus dish (Pulpo means octopus in Spanish). The dish was so over complicated in flavors and presentation that i didn't recognize it. So their key dish failed.... More

I love tapas......but I also love authenticity and knowing that I'm getting value for my dollar First plate was the "pulpo"....and this was good...very good....but for a place namesaked "pulpo" I thought I'd get at least a couple of different options for one of my favorite foods; the they offer only one Our other plates were passable, but not one... Two phone calls (between 5 and 6pm) to make a booking, but no answer, only a voice message. So I expected inefficiency when I went to the restaurant with my Living Social voucher. And I wasn't wrong, as after I had handed over the voucher at the beginning of the meal, this was not indicated on the check. But what... More

We had a lovely lunch at Pulpo today. Service was welcoming and gracious. Food was excellent-- scallops, grilled peppers, brussels sprouts, bruschetta type eggplant open sandwiches, potatoes, salmon, tomato bread, etc. all well prepared and tasty. Oh and salads. Good coffee and liked the tres leches preparation. And the waiter brought us extra nutella for the bread pudding. It was... More
