Description: Panas specializes in Latin fusion gourmet empanadas, crescent- shaped turnovers, stuffed with well seasoned combinations of meats, vegetables, spices, fruits, and sweets. Our recipes are inspired by the idea of Latin Fusion cuisine; a culinary concept based on creating new recipes by combining traditional and modern culinary techniques and mixing ingredients from different countries in the Americas. The only empanadas’ tradition we want to preserve is that empanadas a great idea and fun package for food.

Apparently I got here right before they were closing, so they were giving me more empanadas than I wanted to eat! I didn't mind it because they were all good. The employees were really nice and engaging - they really wanted to make sure I enjoyed what I was selecting. And they steered me in the right direction because every... More

The empanadas were delicious! They "mark" them so that you can tell one flavor from another. Restaurant is clean, employees are particularly friendly and helpful. For the quality/quantity of food the price was definitely right. Will definitely eat here again when in D.C.

We were in DC for 3 days and ate here twice. You would have to know about it to look for it (I read some reviews on TA before we visited) but it's defo worth it. The 4 cheese and beef chilli empanadas are the best. Quick and friendly service, and certainly beats McDonald's and the like

So fast. And so good. Hidden in a little nook off Dupont Circle, you have to look for it. They even brought water for our dogs!! Very friendly and reasonably priced. Very good empanadas!!

I got a 3 empanadas combo (takeaway). When I arrived home I noticed that instead of "all-natural baked plantain chips" I got ordinary and old chips (check my pics). No one told me about it. The empanadas weren't fresh. I'll not come back.

The Empanadas are delicious and the friendly service went above and beyond. The sangria was also good.

Some friends and I swung by Panas last night after a charity bartending session, and what a find! The selection of empanadas was fantastic and each were delicious, as was the sangria. The staff was also incredibly friendly...an unfortunate rarity in DC restaurants, particularly in the Dupont area. Overall, if you find yourself in the area, it's worth your time... More

We ordered one of each flavor and devoured between 4 of us. I loved the one with the brie. Very close to metro station in dupont circle. The staff is super nice....must try at least once if you're in town.
