Excellent food

This is not your typical Thai restaurant. It doesn't have your typical Pad Thai, etc. It is a prix fixe menu. Be warned, the food is quite spicy but excellent! Service is also fantastic! Be prepared to wait.

This place has been on the list since it opened, but I finally visited tonight. You get a set meal of authentic Thai dishes served family style. They are not joking when they say things are spicy. You get a nice basket of raw veggies to help you cool off though! Definitely worth a visit- excellent service. The servers take... More

Fantastic, authentic Thai cuisine with super friendly and knowledgable wait staff. Be sure to have everyone present in your party upon arrival. A DC must if you enjoy spicy offerings.

Must start by saying that this was probably the best Thai food experience I have ever had - including those on my frequent trips to Thailand. This seven course meal is a feast on the senses, from the visual impact of the small plates to the taste and smells of the most unusual Thai dishes. Nothing on their menu has... More

Went based on rave reviews and was very disappointed. Food was mediocre. There seemed to be no thought to the progression of dishes - e.g mild dishes following very hot so the mild taste was overwhelmed. The whole experience reminded me of studying cognitive dissonance in an undergrad psych course. You have to go through so much rigamarol to get... More

This incredible, multi-course Thai experience leaves your lips tingling. Excellent service (somehow) manages to upstage this meal. We arrived at 4:45PM and managed to get a seating at 10:15PM. Truly worth the wait.

We scurried from work early to get a first spot in line waiting outside the door to Little Serow for its mid-week Golden Mermaid night. We made the initial seating and were surprised to find the inside of the low lit place an eclectic mix of décor--not your typical Asian/Thai-themed restaurant. Music rocked with old oldies adding to the variety... More

I have been to this restaurant on four occasions. The first time was absolutely the best. We have eaten all over Southeast Asia and are very familiar with Thai food. There are no reservations here. You get in line and they take your phone number. They call you when your table is ready. You can go to the bar at... More

I've been two times and each experience has been excellent. We waited in line an hour the first time and only a half hour (no line) the second time. The simple ambiance and professional staff allow you to really appreciate what you are eating. I believe we had about 9 different dishes and each transition was a wonderful surprise with... More

"Have you been here before?" the waitress asked me. "We do things a little bit differently." Don't let that be a deterrent. Johnny Monis' gem in Dupont Circle is a culinary roller coaster ride worth waiting for. The skinny: no reservations (be there at least 30 minutes before opening to wait in line on a week night) for 6 set... More
