Great spot

I can't recommend this place enough. Their menu of mussel entrees is quite extensive. My party of four each selected different dishes and none were disappointed. I had mussels paella which seemed to be the hit of the table. Can't wait to return ths next time I'm in town.

Small restaurant specializing in mussels (which I did not have) and more. I was with a group and they ate a lot of the many different types of mussels and raved about them I had the rabbit stew, which was very good and sampled a couple of their excellent selection of beers. Good for a couple or a group and... More

I was here for the first time and really enjoyed it. The mussels are excellent - I tried the house special - mussels St. Arnold's - REALLY good. The one point that was amiss, is the portion of bread given to dip in the sauce...delicious. The bread is sliced to thinly and there could be more...it is such a waste... More

Everything you read about how great the mussels are at St Arnold's is true. I went for their best-sale St Arnold's Mussels and you just end up eating it all! Your next step is then to try and come up with the best way to eat all the delicious sauce that's left. I overhead the fun barman say he uses... More

The mussels were good and the bartender a riot. Located in Dupont, this is a classic and comfortable bar. I would definitely drop in for mussels and a beer!

Beer and mussel? Nothing beats St. Arnold's in DC. Great intimate atmosphere, delicious mussels with many sauce selections and a wide variety of local and imported beer. I stayed in DC for few months and found myself visiting St. Arnold's over and over again. It's that good!!

My husband and I went to St Arnold's for dinner and were very pleasantly surprised. They have an extensive mussels' menu and during their happy hour - which goes to 6:30 - they are half price. We had the house specialty and the mussels were plentiful and delicious. They also have a large selection of domestic and imported beers. We... More

You must go with the house mussels, although I'm sure all variations are worthy. Intimate basement venue with a great Belgium beers selection as well. As one, I found a spot at the bar but you may want a reservation for this active venue. As a great beer venue it may be hard for very large groups

Been here several times and I always get the mussels. Never been disappointed. Mussels are always perfect and the fries are hot and well seasoned. Great atmosphere, reminds me of being in small restaurants in Europe. Easy access to Metro and very affordable.

This is the first place we ate in DC and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was relaxed and the food was great. I had the spicy white wine mussels, which were really good. They serve all their mussel pots with several slices of French bread so you needn't worry about being able to sop up all the leftover juices!... More
