Nice place for Mussels and more

Small restaurant specializing in mussels (which I did not have) and more. I was with a group and they ate a lot of the many different types of mussels and raved about them I had the rabbit stew, which was very good and sampled a couple of their excellent selection of beers. Good for a couple or a... read more

Go for the Tha Curry Mussels and try five different kinds of beer, including the Delirium Red! Friendly service, great food, very comfortable place with character to spare....

My review is more about the obnoxious table of people by us than the quality of food or service. After reading such great reviews on Yelp on TA we were really excited to go. We came for lunch and were greeted promptly. There was a table close to us that held one really obnoxious guy who was loud and rude... More

Yes, the flavors were good, though salty (to encourage more drinking?) but $20 for a modest bowl of smallish mussels, with several empty shells (in mine) and a couple unopened (not to eat), is too much. The beer is good. 'Nuf said.

We stopped in on a Monday night without a reservation. The restaurant was a little over half full. It was just before 6:30- the end of happy hour- and we were able to order mussels for $11 and frites for $3. We got blue cheese and bacon and the house special and both were really good. It's a basic bar... More

I can't recommend this place enough. Their menu of mussel entrees is quite extensive. My party of four each selected different dishes and none were disappointed. I had mussels paella which seemed to be the hit of the table. Can't wait to return ths next time I'm in town.

I was here for the first time and really enjoyed it. The mussels are excellent - I tried the house special - mussels St. Arnold's - REALLY good. The one point that was amiss, is the portion of bread given to dip in the sauce...delicious. The bread is sliced to thinly and there could be more...it is such a waste... More

Everything you read about how great the mussels are at St Arnold's is true. I went for their best-sale St Arnold's Mussels and you just end up eating it all! Your next step is then to try and come up with the best way to eat all the delicious sauce that's left. I overhead the fun barman say he uses... More

The mussels were good and the bartender a riot. Located in Dupont, this is a classic and comfortable bar. I would definitely drop in for mussels and a beer!

Beer and mussel? Nothing beats St. Arnold's in DC. Great intimate atmosphere, delicious mussels with many sauce selections and a wide variety of local and imported beer. I stayed in DC for few months and found myself visiting St. Arnold's over and over again. It's that good!!
