Fast, gourmet food in a gas station convenience store? Cool!

Rather than run into a convenience store to grab a nasty hot dog and bag of chips, why not order Fast Gourmet's fish tacos or meatloaf sandwich? There is dining space, but no wait staff or alcohol. Often the TV is blaring with FIFA soccer in a different language, but you can always get your food to... read more

Living in Florida it is very hard to find Uruguayan/argentinian food unless you are in Miami.I came to DC to visit family and my brother took me here to try. We felt so many memories eating our chivito and milanesa sandwiches. I was looking forward to eating some alfajores but they ran out. I cant wait to eat here again... More

It's a perfect example of why you should never say never. I never thought I would find myself sitting at a gas station and fueling up on some amazing food. It was a quick stop late in the night, and I really wasn't that hungry but I nearly devoured my huge milanesa and the eggplant fries. Say what? eggplant fries.... More

Great little place - had the chivito sandwich (steak, ham, bacon, mozzarella, egg...!!) - how can you go wrong? The menu is much broader than that and all that I saw looked good.

In town nearby on business and found this place on tripadvisor. Got the chivita sandwich with fries, it was ample and delicious. Ham, egg, bacon, mozzarella, tomato, lettuce, pork tenderloin on a hoagie roll. Worth the visit.

In million years, I never would have guessed that some of the best food I'd find in all of DC would be at a gas station. But that's what happened. The food is phenomenal. It is a great value. The staff keeps the place clean. The staff is very friendly. Can't really say anything else that hasn't already been said... More

I love going to fast gourmet for Chivitos and invited a friend over to taste them. While every other time I ate cheviots at fast gourmet had been absolutely fantastic and just the same as I had in Uruguay, this last time it didn't taste quite as good nor the same as other Chivitos I've tried elsewhere. I couldn't pinpoint... More

My son recently moved in to the area near this place and literally everyone told him, "DON'T MISS THE GAS STATION RESTAURANT!!!" Yes, this small, wonderful place is connected to the gas station. The sandwiches are the best in town-- love the Chivita, the BBQ chicken was amazing. There are loads of interesting choices, all very tasty with favors of... More

Who would ever believe that the sandwiches at a gas station are better than most places in the area. The skinny fries are awesome too. This place is one of those places that the folks in the neighborhood all know about but other DC folks are actively seeking out. Go try it next time you need gas but don't look... More

Had heard about the 'gas station' place; finally got over there. Large menu..cooked to order. Staff is super friendly. In fact, I had a quick chat with one of the owners (from Buenos Aires?); very pleasant man. Great place for that casual sandwich. Lots of cold drinks to choose from. Didn't order the Chivito (got a cheesesteak...and it was GOOD!),... More
