Trying to kill two birds with one stone... I saw Shake Shack in news for potential IPO, so I wanted to go check it out. Since the family was on a day trip we stopped for lunch. All 4 of us gave our burgers 4.5-5s. The krinkle fries were cooked perfectly. I still think McDonalds has the best fries but... More

This chain's burgers have cult status in NYC and other cities. This one, close to Dupont Circle in the bar zone, is no exception. The staff is friendly and helpful and the burgers and fries served up hot and tasty. Highly recommended as an alternative to the pricey restaurants in the city and one of the few casual fast food... Really affordable burgers and really nice chips. Tried it on a Friday night and we didnt have a problem on finding a seat. Food was cooked quickly, my partner said he wished he had ordered double but for me the single one was enough. Really recommend it!

I had lunch here twice during a recent stay at the nearby Mayflower Renaissance Hotel. I really enjoyed the Smoke Shack burger, with the single and double. The vanilla malt was also quite nice. When I ordered a soft drink, I was surprised that it came in the same small cup as the shake/malt, and had too much ice. At... More

The burgers are amazing! I tried two different ones and both were excellent. Their concrete was a close second. Service was fast and accurate.

Got a double cheese burger. It came with no lettuce, tomato, ketchup, nothing... had to go back. "Well, you didn't ask for it". No, I don't need this.

I have gone here twice. Once for the burger and fries and once for the salted caramel frozen custard. I enjoyed the burger. I had a shack stack which is their regular burger patty combined with a breaded, deep fried, portobelo mushroom with cheese. It was very greasy and very filling, which is, of course, to be expected. There was... More

We had a great hamburger and milk shake after touring an area museum. The only negative was that it was really crowded and we had difficulty finding a place to sit. But I'd go back in a minute!
