My first visit to shake shack was a good experience. The shack was very busy, even outside of rush hour which I take as a good sign. Customer service was exceptional. The food was very good (though not as good as the hype) and inline with the prices I would expect.

We finally stopped to eat around 2 p.m. on our first day in DC. We were so busy looking through all the museums that we forgot we hadn't eaten in hours. There are a lot of food options if you are near the Shake Shack, located near the International Spy Museum, but we decided this place looked like fun so... More

For DC this is a pretty good burger joint. Compared to places that I've been an Iowa, it's not so good at all. The establishment promotes the fact that they are serving organic beef however it's an overcooked average compared to the product that you would find it a corner deli or burger cafe in the Midwest. The burger place... More

Best freshest tasting burger I've had in a while. The meat is cooked up just right with the biggest tomato slices and pickles to adorn it :D The fries are hot and just right, paired with a side of ketchup or mayo, hits the spot right on!

As of this writing, Shake Shack has three locations in downtown DC. I'm reviewing the location on 18th Street, but you can also find one in Gallery Place/Chinatown (next to the Spy Museum) and within Union Station. This location is at a busy intersection just south of Dupont Circle. It's often busy and crowded, but I find that the staff... More

Great burgers! A separate line just for shakes, which is nice. Extremely crowded, expect to stand and eat or takeout....Very small seating area.

We loved the Shake Shack. If the lunch crowd is any indication of the food, we knew it was going to be great. The shakes were everyone's favorites. But the burgers and fries were great too. Now in fairness, the prices were steep, but everything in Washington is expensive. One good tip, share the fries, the portions are huge!

You must try this fun place! It's busy so don't go if you can't wait 15 min or so. The food was tasty and varied and you can even order wine/beer. All of us ordered something sweet-how can you not from a restaurant with the name Shake Shack! The shakes were fantastic and the concrete mixer was amazing. Good thing... More

This is right around the corner from the International Spy Museum, and Ford's Theatre- it was a good burger, although I could have gone for the double in hind sight. More like a homemade burger, good fries and good shakes- affordable, fast and good for kids too...basically burgers and hot dogs

I don't know if I was just just especially hungry, but that burger was delicious! The burger wasn't ridiculously large, but it certainly hit the spot. The bun seemed homemade and was really good as well. Three of us easily shared an order of fries, which were not greasy, thin cut style. I had a chocolate shake to top it... More
