I live in the neighborhood of Ripple and never thought to check it out until I saw that they had received the honor of Best Upscale Casual Restaurant of the Year and Wine Program of the Year at the 2014 RAMMY Awards. The ambiance is laid back and relaxing; very Anthropology. The prices are quite reasonable. We sat at some... More

I recently stopped in here with a friend after work to grab a happy hour drink. If you're a wine drinker their happy hour is a winning ticket. The entire wine menu is half off, and they have a very good selection. Upon seeing the grilled cheese menu we decided to share a bite to eat as well. You can... More

We live in DC and Ripple is a delight and one of our favorite restaurants. Ripple's foods are locally sourced, has great service, is reasonably quiet and has a great wine selection (including several wines under $30). We had the kohlrabi tortellini stuffed with felsa yahr cheese, seared scallops, and the cheese platter that included special cheeses that we do... More

An absolutely great meal and experience! The spring salad was lovely, chilled arugula soup with Greek yogurt and trout roe terrific, and I all but licked my plate (ok, maybe I did!) of bone marrow with strawberry preserves. One of the most interesting and flavorful things I've eaten in a long time! A very creative menu and beautifully executed. Portions... More

this is a small restaurant in a nice area of DC. the food was excellent, fresh ingredients and everyone was sharing their entrees because we were all happy. the halibut is excellent, there was an arugula soup that was also very good. they offer an impressive selection of cheeses and meats to have with your cocktails.

We had brunch - pastrami hash, oatmeal bran cakes with maple ricotta, french toast with vanilla bean ricotta and a side of homemade bacon. After tasting each dish my 13 year old son said his meal was perfect (the french toast). The maple ricotta was a wonderful accompaniment to the toasty flavor of the oatmeal bran cakes. My pastrami hash... More

My husband and I visited on a weekend night. Great selection of wines and beers offered. Service was rather slow. We had very high hopes as we had heard good things about this restaurant, but were rather disappointed in our meals. I recall we had a pasta dish, but don't even remember what the other dish was. My main memory... More

Tucked away on the Cleveland Park strip is Ripple - a culinary experience worth the visit. We had a 5 course experience of incredibly fresh, exquisitely well prepared and a joy to the palette. Paige took great care of our group - and the private room front-n-center was perfect.

Food was very good, overall ... Although, I'm not sure I absolutely need to go back for anything other than the grilled cheese bar, which was pretty cool and yummy - get the one with black truffle. It's from 5-6:30PM, daily (and late night) - makes a good appetizer before dinner. The main reason that I NEED to return is... More

Having read reviews of this restaurant and it's young chef, we were willing to try for a special celebration. The menu including all alcohols is extensive and for the most part unknowns. The waitress was helpful and knowledgeable but after awhile we all felt like we were experimenting. The portions are small but reasonable. The back rm is quiet and... More
