Reservations are not required. Contact us for large parties or special events. Feel free to contact us regarding our seating policy. Yes, we do serve brunch/lunch on Sunday with a great prix fixe including French Toast, Steak and Eggs, Eggs Benedict and bottomless bloody Marys, mimosas and screwdrivers. During the evenings, Medium Rare offers a unique, prix fixe dinning experience of artisan bread; a mixed green salad; prime, dry-aged steak; and hand-cut fries in a relaxed, fun, neighborhood environment. As we do only one thing, we do our best to make the food and experience exceptional and also a good value. There are only a few wine, spirits, and draft beer choices, but each were selected specifically to accompany your meal. We offer an off-the-menu vegetarian option. Please contact us to inquire.

This restaurant was worth the torture of driving into D.C. during dinner time. (we left too late for the metro). We were able to park right next to the restaurant, because my husband is a master parallel parker. They seated us in about 10 minutes (we had reservations), and it was very very crowded in there. If you have never... More

The name of the place gives a hint as to what is in store at this Cleveland Park gem. Lots of terrific sliced steak, and some of the best fries you will ever try follows a cool house salad and crusty homemade bread. A crisp and attentive staff add to the hip vibe...the in-house audio loop will also keep you...ummm... More

Tried this one out for Husband's Birthday night. Good value and yummy on a Friday night. The beer was also delicious. Nice pick. Recommended.

Went to Rose's down the road, but they were booked up so we walked down the road to medium rare. Staff was awesome and the food was great especially for the price. The dinner menu was predestinated but it was amazing. You get two full helping of the thin cut steak and fries with their secret recipe sauce. Think its... More

This restaurant seems to be the trendy thing these days, here on the edge of the upscale Cleveland Park neighborhood. It is full of young folks and even their children. There is no food menu (except for desert) and your choice is how you want your beef cooked. It comes with a hunk of "artisanal" crusty bread, a good salad... More

Medium Rare has an extensive menu - one entree item. You have your choice of steak frites. Your only choices to make are what you want to drink, how you want your steak prepared, and dessert. The first thing to arrive was warm crusty bread and their special sauce. The salad was fresh and the dressing delicious. The first round... More
