We had an early reservation on a summer Saturday evening so there were few dinners. From the street the restaurant is non imposing and easily missed in a string of small restaurant frontages/ We had been traveling all day so a variety of small dishes was right on. The service was attentive but not intrusive. While trying to decide on... More

nice neighborhod turkish. freindly service, interesting menu - has become smaller and more concentrated. Deliciious lamb. Nice sized portions. Fresh salads, great coffee and a nice wine selection. Quiet comfortable atmosphere where you do not hear your neighbors talking but you have that communal feel. Never waiting long for food. Leave room for the baklava! Kids feel welcome.

Having travelled through Turkey and loving the food, perhaps my expectations were unrealistic - but having eaten at Turkish restaurants in the US plenty of times, I think my expectations were not out of line. The baked humus was different and good. The ezme tasted liked Trader Joe's chunky salsa - very different and not good, very bizzare given they... More

This small and welcoming restaurant was a new find. We had attended a concert at the Phillips Collection, and this was conveniently located in Dupont Circle. We especially liked the zucchini pancakes, the cheese "cigars", the grilled octopus, and the shrimp and tomato stew. I also appreciated that they had 2 serving sizes for wine by the glass, so I... This is Turkish Tapas and the food is excellent. Be prepared to spend $25+ per person without alcohol. Pros: The food is handmade, traditional and very tasty. The staff was nice and polite. Tapas of course are small so it's easy to portion out the food. Good wine selection. Cons: The tapas can get pricey and add up quick when... More

We did the 11 course fixed menu. It had some interesting flavors. Some of courses were out of the character spicy. The grape leaves were bland. I didn't think the food flight was worth the price. Nice service

This Turkish restaurant is relatively new. Its not the best middle eastern food I have had, but its very good. The waiter described the food as small plates and that each person should order 3-4 dishes. There were 6 of us and we each ordered 3 different plates and then shared them. Some items more successful than others. With just... More

It's so nice to find a restaurant like Ezme: friendly staff, nice ambiance and great food. The portions are tapas style small plates so order about 3 for each person. They come with homemade bread so be sure to order some of the dips. They have some unusual wines, so ask for a recommendation. We had a great full-bodied red... More

My husband and I visited here on a whim and only after reading a few reviews on another site. We had the chef's tasting menu and it was one of the best meals we have EVER had. From a delicious shepherd's salad to a chicken kabob atop of a zucchini fritter to a scallop and octopus plate to a perfectly... More
