We were told to go to this restaurant as it is next to Capitol Hill and apparently the haunt of Senators. This was the day after after 'Super Tuesday' and there was most certainly a buzz, the bar was packed. We had an excellent meal and fine wine, not cheap but good value. We liked the steak knives so much... More

Right in the center of the action, plus good food. Prices are expensive, but not significantly more than a nice steak restaurant in my home town. Also, even if you are stuffed, get the Key Lime Pie for desert.

The Capitol Grill on Pennsylvania Ave was my favorite restaurant in Washington DC. I can understand how this restaurant is on the list of Senators and Congressman. The food is outstanding and the service superb.

We went to the extraordianary restaurant based on reviews from Urban Spoon and WOW were we impressed. My wife started with Carpaccio and I had the Calamari, both were seasoned perfectly and delicately prepared. Tenderloin and Tails for dinner and WOWed once again. Reasonably priced wine, well worth the $180 for two of us for dinner! Exquisite decor and atmosphere.

Late night here (after the symphony) is just as busy (and loud) as the dinner crowd. Famous for steaks and seafood we were looking forward to a nice dinner. The wait between being seated and seeing a waitress was way, way too long. When Sara did appear, she seemed tired and disinterested. Cocktails were great but small (too much ice,... More

Overall, my experience here last weekend exceeded my expectations. Unlike other well known places in DC, like the black-out-sad Martin's Tavern, Capitol Grill seems to have kept it's edge. First, the atmosphere is generally fine. It is the best you can really do with the low light steak house atmosphere. The staff was helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic.... More

My recipe for a perfect meal at the Capitol Grill. Order a Stoli Doli and the calamari (the best in the city) to start. Then have the wedge salad. Get a nice bottle of red wine and order the Kansas strip bone-in sirloin with the Kona rub cooked medium rare. Mashed potatoes, onion strings and asparagus are all good sides.... More

This is a must stop everytime we're in DC. The steaks are some of the best I've ever had, the lobster mac & cheese just yummy! But what keeps us coming back are those Stoli Dolis :)

I made reservations for my Coast Guard Veterans group for dinner recently. When we arrived we were pleased that they put us in a private room. We had the opportunity to hold a quick meeting and spend some time gossiping. The room was very clean and the table setting just perfect. LC our wait person was truly five star, she... More
