A true DC steakhouse. The dry aged beef is expertly prepared (recommend the kona crusted ribeye). We enjoyed the ambiance as much as the food. Great place for business dinner.

We had spent the day at Smithsonian museums but found it was just after 5 pm so didn't want to fight traffic on our trek back to the Philadelphia area. The Capital Grille was on our way back to the parking garage so we decided to stop for a small meal. I knew the prices were high for their typical... More

There was not one thing about Capital Grille that I did not like. Everything was wonderful! It is very close to the Capitol, which is good if you've just taken a tour there, like we did. We sat at the bar, as recommended by a friend, because the prices are cheaper, since the dishes can be quite expensive. Service was... More

My wife and I make an occasional trek to DC from PA to get away and enjoy the big city. Capital Grille is one of our favorite restaurants that we discovered in Las Vegas -- no matter where, you can count on a great meal, outstanding service, and a neat atmosphere! The Capital Grille, Washington DC is no exception and... More

We never have a bad dinner here. Started with their calamari as an appetizer. I had their delicious Caesar salad, then the filet and their mashed potatoes. The filet was very tender and the mashed potatoes were the creamiest I've ever had!! My husband had the scallops with creamy spinach which he stated were beyond anything. Great ambiance. Highly suggest... More

My husband and I ate here while we visit DC for the 2015 new year. This place definitely lived up to what all the locals were saying. The staff/waiters were personable and attentive. It's pricey but you get a lot of food. I like that the sides were sharable so we didn't have a ton of food left over. A... More

Looking for a nice dinner spot close to Capital Hill and the Hyatt we found Capital Grille. Great in all aspects of the game, atmosphere, service, food and wine. We started with a wedge salad and thanks to our very helpful waiter - Wayne - we split one and it was plenty for the both of us. I orderd the... More

We had a great meal (huge and brilliant steak and truffle fries for me and grilled fish for my daughter) and a wonderful red to accompany it - but the bill was pretty significant, so it was worth it for a special meal but not an every day event for sure and jot something you can manage on a travellers... Went to The Capital Grille for my birthday and had a wonderful meal. The service, wine, atmosphere, and food were fantastic! Our server was knowledgeable and helpful, and the restaurant decorated the table with birthday confetti to help make it even more special. I had the chicken which was phenomenal ... A huge portion and extremely tasty. I didn't love... More

Visited this restaurant with my husband on our first night in Washington. Beautiful restaurant and the guy who looked after us all evening, Carlos Quiroa, was very knowledgeable, I based my wine choice on his recommendation and he was spot on. The food is sublime and the service very attentive without being obtrusive, we had a lovely evening and would... More
