Great gem

My daughter is an intern this summer in DC suggested that we tried this restaurant located near the Capitol. We enjoyed the authentic atmosphere and Piero a true Italian server. The food was delicious and our party of 6 enjoyed every piece of their meal. You should try it.

Some very interesting specials including 5 pastas and 5 cheeses both of which we had for appetizers. The pastas come out of the kitchen one at a time. Really didn't need that much to start as the portions are generous and very moderately priced. For our entres we each had a different chicken dish. Mine was with mushrooms and my... More

My wife and I had a double date here and had such a great night. The food (we got each type of Cannelloni) and wine were absolutely delicious and the service was top notch. The place really makes you feel like you stepped into Italy. I contend that this place is as good if not better than the nice restaurants... More

We love our Italian and we love it just the way this restaurant makes and serves their Classic Italian dishes. The restaurant was quaint and warm and we felt like we were in Italy. Our servers were extremely attentive and knowledgable and the food was amazing!!!!!! Everything was top notch!

We went there with friends, two of whom are from Italy, and had a spectacular meal. The Italians were the ones who recommended we go there since they love it so much. All the food was excellent and the wine list is also very impressive. I have a new favorite place!

My girlfriend and I stopped in here on a very rainy Saturday 2 weekends ago. We got a seat at the bar and our bartender/waiter could not have been nicer. Great suggestions and service. We shared the triple salad, soup and each had a glass of wine. A wonderful start to a very gloomy day. Thanks.

Perfect meal! It feels like you have been transported to Italy for an evening. The sampling menu was just perfect to share since we were able to try a little of everything. I can't wait to go back again!

My wife and In dined on a warm Tuesday night. We share the burrata, which was a glutenous appetizer. It was very tasty dish. I had the Marscapone e funghi and it was awesome. Rich and cheesy with fusilli noodles, which I have never eaten. Cooked to perfection. My wife enjoyed the Pasta special with featured perfectly cooked & seared... More

I can't tell you how many times I've dined at Acqua Al 2 (pronounced 'aqua al dooey') but I can tell you that I've sample most of their menu over the years, and NOTHING is bad, or even mediocre. Every one of their dishes is absolutely delectable, delicious and deleterious to my diet! Owners Ari G (I'll butcher it if... More
