This was most likely the best food I have ever had outside of Italy. The pastas were incredible, the steaks were perfection. We dined as a couple (it's not romantic at all - very noisy, but so is an Italian kitchen), and we opted to share the tasting menu for salads (all 3 were superb), the pastas (5 of the... More

I ate at their restaurant in Florence last year and was wowed by it so I was thrilled to find myself in DC with an opportunity to experience it again. I was not disappointed. Everything was amazing. I love the tasting menu. It provides you an opportunity to try several versions and not get filled up. The wait staff is... More

Great food, fun location, nice atmosphere, but most importantly- hard to find beer. Very pricey on beer and wine, but well worth it!

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised when we stumbled on this restaurant. It was delicious and in a great neighborhood too. Try it, you will like it! We ate outside and it was lovely.

The restaurant is in the southeast area of Washigton DC, its near the east market. At the entrance young couples were drinking wine and beers, passed by them and entered the restaurant. Reservations were made for 6:00pm since it was full afterwards. A very sympathetic waitress took us to our table , asking what will we like to drink and... More

Acqua al 2 greets you with a warm and family oriented setting. The menu ranges from 'burrata con miele' (served as an appetizer) to 'branzino con patate al forno'. The food is cooked to perfection and very tasty, Great service.

Quite possibly the best Italian food I've had in a long time. Had a dish with swordfish, & it was succulent with just the right amount of garlicky sweetness. I didn't think the prices were that high for DC or for the quality of the food.

I was seeking a stylish Italian restaurant with exceptuional food. I took a party of five to celebrate my sons 24th birthday and discovered this restaurant which is close to his home. Ive lived in Florence and noticed that is the home town of this establishment. I'd recommend the back table we were seated at for a party of five... More

Had lunch at Acqua al 2 near Eastern Market in DC. The food was just OK. The panini was not excellent, but the salad was very good. The waiter inadvertently spilled a beverage all over my lap and to his credit rushed over with an absorbent a towel. He did not however offer to replace the soda or offer any... More
