Delicious and Friendly

I have eaten at the other location in Florence, Italy. I was in DC for the weekend and wanted to visit this location. Upon arriving, we were told that they would be able to seat us now but they needed the table in an hour or so for reservations otherwise a table wouldn't be open til 3-4 hours. We... read more

This was the third time I dined in this restaurant and, like my previous two (2) visits, I arrived hungry and left totally satisfied. My favorite entree is the New York strip covered with pepper corns and bathed in a nice brandy sauce. The Italian dishes shared by my guests were wonderful. This is definitely a "must" when you visit... More

The food here was so great! We tried the pasta sampler (absolutely worth it and great to share as an appetizer) and then had the Tbone steak to share (there were two of us). I am not the biggest fan of steak, but this melted in my mouth and I was so full I rolled out of there! It was... More

A group of 6 went there for dinner and we were not disappointed . The food was excellent along with the wine choices. The atmosphere was great and the service was excellent. Try it and you will be surprised

Rustic decor (incl spacious bathroom), delicious food, great service. The plates mounted on the walls are out of place. It reminds me a little of New York's Palm's cartoons on the wall, which is far better. Men are mostly in suits, small time bureaucrats and lobbyists? Karl Rove would fit in perfectly -:) Loved their foursome, sensible dessert - bit... More

Went here with several girlfriends. Ambiance is amazing and the food was perfect. Our waiter was very helpful with recommendations and did not steer us wrong.

Our first time here, even though it's been recommended numerous times over the years. Major plus--lots of unlimited street parking after 6:30. The beef carpaccio melted in our mouth. We split homemade fettucini with beef ragu and the steak trio (must order for all carnivores)--both excellent. The wine list is extensive but pricey. We ended the great meal with the... More

We've been here a few time and have been to the one in Florence, they are both incredible. This time was brunch so frittatas and panini were the order of the day, everything was delicious. Love the plates on the wall too!

My favorite meal at Al Acqua 2 is lunch. They have a weekday lunch menu --- three courses (salad, entree, and dessert) for $20. Not only are the dishes delicious, the portions are just right. My favorites from their lunch menu are Insalata Finocchio, Fusilli Corti agli Spinaci Maccheroni alla Vodka, and Torta al cioccolato.
