Surprised

I was surprised to find this place so close to all the action on capital hill and was surprised by the cheap food. Cooked hot and fresh to order, a few tables inside and outside, sandwiches, burgers and fries etc. also enjoyed an evening in the lounge.

My son and I had breakfast at this location on Monday. Food was average (2 eggs and bacon) for about $6. Very close to the Hyatt.

Has an outdoor location which is nice in good weather. Proximity to Hyatt is good. Food is ok - was expecting more "southern" style as the restaurant advertises and it was DC southern at best

Food was mediocre. Staff did not engage with customers at all. Actually gave my order to customer that came in after me.

This is not "fine dining" but if you are looking for good, simple food, very low priced with fast service, it would be hard to beat. This was only a block away from our hotel, the Capital Hyatt and is only about 3 blocks from Union Station. Great grilled cheese sandwiches, pancakes, bacon, eggs and coffee. We ate breakfast and... This is the perfect place to stop in for a burger and a beer. Food is at one end, bar at the other. Pick a table or sit at the bar. Pick a seat, relax, and enjoy!

I needed a bite before the fireworks. They were nearby and open. The burger was griddle fried down to 2/3's it starting size and then put on a bun meant for the former. In other words more bread than meat.

We went here with a group after a wedding and they were serving some breakfast food late while the bar was hopping. We had fries and a breakfast sandwich which was ok. We came back for breakfast because we were staying across the street. My ham egg and cheese sandwich was very salty, but fine. Nothing interesting here, just ok... More
