On the 14th Street just up the road from our hotel... It has outside Tables on to a busy 14th street... many restaurants around to choose from this has a modern look and feel. We were a party of 10 and they accommodated us quite quickly with no issues. We had a good Italian meal, with kids is hard but... More

We had dinner at Restaurante Posto on a Saturday night. This restaurant is part of the bustling 14th St renaissance that has taken place. Years ago, this was a combat zone, not safe and not a place you would go for a nice meal. How things have changed in DC! The food was excellent and the service was top notch.... More

I went here on the recommendation of my hotel. I had the paparadelle and it was delicious. The pasta tasted very fresh as did the sauce. I was able to get a table here around 7 pm on a weeknight without any wait at all. The prices were reasonable for Washington D.C. The restaurant was quiet, not really cozy. Menu... More

Went for dinner on a Saturday night. First tip should have been it was much less crowded then all the other hot places on 14th street. Atmosphere is very cold -- felt exactly like an upscale museum café -- good for lunch but not for nice dinner. Menu was small and I didn't feel like pizza or pasta, so I... More

We've gone here occasionally since it opened a few years ago before going to the show a few doors away at Studio Theater. To our surprise and pleasure, the restaurant has been quietly getting better and better. Last night our meal was really excellent. We started with a trio from the assortment of small plates at the top of the... More

We had dinner there this past weekend. The menu was interesting but not expansive. Prices were a bit high but I think this is average for the District. Service was OK but not wonderful. Overall it was an average experience but not nearly worth the price.

Arrived in town Saturday evening and no idea where to eat. our hotel recommended Posto and it was great, although could get a bit noisy. The tables were full but we were offerd space at the communal bar table which was fine. Really good pizza, a nice glass of wine, fantastic foccacia bread and oil and a warm and efficient... More

Not so much to add or deviate from previous reviewers. This is a safe recommendation (my friend who took us there goes very regularly). The place is quite spacious, so it might get noisy when full. I would recommend the salami and cheese of the day as a starter. This, with the fresh bread and VERY good olive oil was... More

We eat at Posto 6-8 times a year, because it's so convenient to Studio Theatre, and we always sit at the bar. (It's designed for this, with a separate, bar-height communal table, too.) We've always been more than satisfied with both food and service. We haven't done the small plate routine yet, although we see many people doing it. This... More

I shared a number of small plates, and the polenta was fabulous, but the eggplant parmigana had a very fishy taste that was off. very disappointed in that for as expensive as it was. Wait service was very good, responsive and unobtrusive.
