Super Italian, excellent ambiance, friendly servers! A really good menu prepared by one of DC's best chefs, Massimo Fabbri (still an Executive Chef for Tosca), using the freshest seasonal fare he creates delicious dishes! Choose a wine from their varied list and you're in heaven. Casual restaurant great for families with kids or couples on dates. Nice friendly bar for... More

I love Posto. I start with my Noleto cocktail. St. Germain gin and yummy. Had the zucchini flower special stuffed with goat cheese an interesting change from ricotta and anchovies. My friends had the arugula salad with those bits of fennel. Delicious. The spinach fettuccine with bolognese is my favorite and test for all Italian eats. Never disappoints. The almond... More

..posto is the place to go for italian food.. with the same food quality as tosca, but a less stuffy environment, posto is the place to go whether for a pre-or after-theater dinner or just a dinner with friends... the burrata with green pea sauce and pea shoot salad is to die for, and so are the pastas and the... The only reason I didn't rate Posto as excellent was due to the sometimes very small portions on some of the appetizers. Aside from that, the food was just delicious. The soft shell crab and the lamb chop make my mouth water just thinking about them. Others had the duck and also loved it. There was a special soup, a... More

We had looked forward to dinner at Posto, but found the experience disappointing bordering on odd. Our server was very pleasant, but the kitchen let both her and us down. Our first course - the tuna tartare - was very good. The problems came with my main course, the rockfish. The first oddity was that both I and one of... More

Went with a friend who recommended Ristorante Posto. The food was better than average but not great, and somewhat inconsistent quality across appetizers and entrees. It was a little bit after dinner time and maybe the kitchen was "tired," as the service staff certainly was. The wait staff energy was gone, and several foods we wanted to order were no... More

Posto isn't trying to be Spago. It's like many eateries in Italy. It's about the food. The service was excellent. Our dishes all perfect. The pizza crust was perfectly done. It's a casual, quiet place in a hip part of town. Some of the staff are Italian and seem proud of the food. The spinach pasta bolognese was a ten.... More

Very nice fine dining pasta restaurant on busy 14th Avenue NW in DC...waiter was excellent and knowledgeable and wanted to please...food arrived at the appropriate time after we had finished off an appetizer...the only complaint would be that it was a small portion for the price you pay...entree, couple drinks, tax and tip will run about $60 person...I would definitely... AMAZING PIZZA. My husband and I got their Margherita pizza...and it was out very quickly and we quite wished we had each ordered one, as it's a thin crust and it was simply amazing. The crust was so light and chewy, the sauce was not heavy and the cheese was great too. Best pizza I've had outside of Italy! We'd... More
