Chef Martin Lackovic is a master with pastas and fish. There is always one of each as a daily special and they are always wonderful. The restaurant just completed a redesign which puts more space between tables. The menu has expanded as well and the bar area is warm and inviting. Great wait staff. Very reasonable prices. Deserts to die... More

We were recommended this Italian restaurant by our hotel concierge and we were glad we followed their advice! There were no problems in getting a reservation as we arrived reasonably early in the evening (approximately 6pm). There were several tables seated, however this quickly filled up as the night wore on. The staff were friendly from the get-go. Tap water... More

We had an outstanding Christmas eve family dinner here. The apps were very good--smoked salmon, scallops, beef carpaccio and lamb sausages. We all had pasta for dinner--most had the squid ink pasta with mussels. Also had gnocci--tasted like delicate pillows. The wine list was wide ranged and reasonably priced. The almond cake and chocolate cake were delicious. Service was quite... More

We are back again in D.C. and returned to our favorite restaurant, Siroc. Once again our dining experience was A#1. Although it is a busy season, with the restaurant full, we received attentive care, and treated ourselves to some new dishes. The scallops with Tagliatelle were delicious with just the right amount of zing. An old time favorite, the fennel/frisee... More

We had decided we wanted Italian food on our third night in DC. Was disappointed really thought the food was just OK! All four of us had pasta and tried each other's. Same conclusion just Ok. They had no lasagna and no plain spaghetti type dish. We love pasta and live near some very good Italian food. Would not recommend... More

A very pleasant evening. We started with a gift from the kitchen of an arranchino which was an unexpected pleasure. We followed with salads and then I had a pasta with scallops which was just delicious. A nice red wine for a very reasonable price. I'd go back.

We took five of business partners from Japan to Siroc by recommendation by a concierge at our hotel. A waitress does not give honest size of salads... she gestured as if it is about a bread plate, but actually it was twice in size. I would have ordered three and shared.. but she insisted, "it's so small to share!!" Then... More

We had Butternut Tortelloni with a slightly to me unfamiliar honey-salvia sauce. I did not quite trust my friends' choice of this so the waitress was quick to suggest I take a half portion each of that and of another specialty: home-made spaghetti marinara. Both were excellent although in retrospect I don't really go for sweet sauced pasta (tortelloni). Portions... More

We were in DC on Friday and wanted a nice meal close to White House. We didn't have a reservation and were a party of 6. I called Siroc and they were able to accommodate. The atmosephere is warm and the staff are friendly and efficient. Each one of us had a different dish and all were great! I really... More
