Convenient to local Theatres

We enjoyed dinner at Avenue Grill. Service was good and you get 20% off your bill with a ticket stub (between 5:00-6:45 pm). The lobster mac and cheese was excellent. It had lots of lobster in it. Burgers are big and the turkey club and home-made potato chips were good.

We were pressed for time to get to a show next door at the National theater (Blithe Spirit) and this turned out to be perfect. They had good food, great service (Helen), and accelerated food-to-the-table time. Nice setting with quiet booths or tables. I had a nice glass of wine, tasty corn and clam chowder, and a delightful lobster mac... More

We ate dinner at Avenue Grill before a performance at the National Theatre which is right next door. Sadly, convenience is the only thing going for Avenue Grill. The food was mediocre at best and the service was very slow. The wine list was overpriced. Even with the convenience to the National Theatre, I will not be returning. If you... More

Thank you very much providing feedback to the unfortunate situations you experienced while dining with us at the Avenue Grill. We are sorry that there were some service and pricing flaws throughout your dinner before attending the show next door at the National Theatre. Enjoyed the outstanding, but not inexpensive, Saturday brunch. The gluten free muffins were truly memorable. Worth the price!

I don't ordinarily like buffets, but they do a great job with their breakfast buffet and we ate there twice while in town. They offer a nice variety of breakfast fare as well as a chef to cook "made to order" eggs, omelets, and waffles. In fact the chef saw me eyeballing a waffle, but I walked away without one.... More

My daughter and I, we ate here over the Martin Luther King, MLK weekend, the food and service was outstanding. We sat next to the fireplace and enjoyed the warmth and quiet. I had the Cesar Salad with Crabcake and my daughter had the Angus Burger. The crabcake was the freshest and largest crabcake I ever had in my entire... More

Stayed at the hotel so got dinner twice, its ok, I did think it was expensive for what we had. If you are staying at the hotel it is a fine place to go if you don´t feel like jumping into a cab or walking, but just to go as a restaurant not worth it.

Our server Helen was very attentive and extremely polite. The food was mediocre at best. The salad was plentiful but seemed to be over soaked with dressing. The corn chowder was bland. The ravioli tasted very much like the prepackaged variety that is sold in grocery stores. Overall this was not a pleasant food experience.

Ate lunch here but have also dined on prior business trips. The restaurant offers some good items. I had the crab cake sandwich and it was excellent. I'd pay attention to suggestions for what's good or local specialties. Staff was friendly and attentive and allowed us to prepare for our meeting (it was not crowded and we stayed a bit... More

Stayed for 3 days, ate there multiple times. Bread was stale for Bruschetta; tasted good otherwise, but food is about on-par with other places that make simple fair. The big reason for average is mostly due to price. While I know it is downtown and the price is to be expected for a typical hotel restaurant, it still seems steep... More
