Diverse Choices of Wel-Priced Good Food

This is in the passage way between the two wings of the National Gallery and is pleasant and is a great way to replenish your energy while visiting the museum. it's cafeteria style, but really good food.

I had better food at my university Cafeteria, wow it was bland tasteless. I ordered from the Italian side which iI have to say looked like the best of all options and still a major disappointed. Then afterwards I ordered a Latte which was lukewarm, asked to lady to heat it up and she said thats as hot as they... More

The cascade Cafe at the National Gallery of Art is situated in the underground walkway between the West building (main building) and the East Building (new building for the special exhibit). It is a nice place to sit and relax during or at the end of your visit to the museum. The price is a little high for both food... More

We stopped by the cafe during our lunch break at a conference. We were able to walk through some exhibits then get a bite to eat. The cafe has a nice selection of food from burgers, to italian, to asian, and a full salad bar. I had a cheeseburger with fries, no bun, topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, a... More

Pro: (1) A pleasant place to sit, with a hypnotic view of falling water. (2) Prices are steep, but think of it as including admission to the gallery and it's not so bad. (3) a good selection of high-end fast food, as well as hot meals. Con: (1) A thirteen dollar noodle bowl that was mostly broth and noodles, and... More

Good restaurant with excellent service, a great option to have a break in visiting this fantastic museum. I took the cold buffet, which was very good, I especially liked the seafood soup – excellent.

A good place to get refreshments or a meal when visiting the Gallery. There is a separate coffee bar with light snacks if you don't want to get caught up with the people getting more substantial food. The coffee and food were good, although it was a little on the expensive side but no more than we expected for Washington.... More

Really wasn't a fan of this. The food was incredibly expensive and to be honest really wasn't that good. I got the noodle bowl and yes well the flavors tasted watered down and it just really wasn't worth it. I think it was about $70 for lunch for the 4 of us and we didn't honestly have that much food.

Good place for quick eats while visiting National Gallery of Arts!! Sandwiches were made to order -- had several areas you could visit -- including barista brewed coffees and gelato!! Nice setting with indoor cascade falls -- one of gift shops also there!!

Had lunch here while visiting the National Gallery. Better than most cafes in the museums on the mall. Has a good array of healthy selections. A bit pricey.
