Comfort food on steroids and crack. But this isn't comfort food like your grandma makes. It's gourmet comfort food. Although the food would be this good in a hole in the wall restaurant, it's even better because it's in an exceptionally cool restaurant! This place would be a great date place or a great place to go with friends and... More

Founding Farmers is one of the best restaurants in DC at an affordable price. This is a restaurant that has amazing breakfast, lunch, brunch, and dinner. Things that I would recommend are the Cracked Black Pepper Wings, Yankee Pot Roast, Plank Salmon and I can go on and on. This is a place that I frequent often living in the... More

the food is really good! I like going there for brunch especially. Just be sure to make a reservation well in advance otherwise you will wait a really long time. I highly recommend the peanut butter and fluff appetizer.

Ate breakfast here only, no reservations. I hear it gets lively and crowded in the evenings when reservations are a good idea. The staff were really friendly and the restaurant is nicely designed. The stuffed french toast is something you really need to have in your life.

Founding Farmers is still one of the best all around restaurants in Washington dc. If you have never been here, then it is a must try. The food and service are always awesome, they have a large menu and everything on it is well prepared. They also have a large bar with many great beer on tap.

Great menu, hard to choose just one thing. This is was my third visit and each visit was wonderful. Very attentive staff. Great service, great food, so much fun. I went with a large group and we sample a good variety of the food. Some basics you should consider trying: skillet corn bread and any of the farmacy sodas. I... More

This was a wonderful food experience in DC! I strongly encourage you to make a reservation, particularly for breakfast or brunch. We had 9:30 reservations, arrived a bit early, and walked right past at least a dozen people waiting. Hubs had the crab Benedict, I had chicken & waffles. We both enjoyed their strong coffee. Our waitress was very attentive... More
