This was just a few hundred yards from our hotel, so very convenient. There were lots of interesting choices on the menu, and while the prices were a bit higher than I might prefer, it was not unreasonable. This is an order-at-the-counter place, and everything was wonderfully fresh.

What used to be a great concept with decent food is not a a great concept with frankly bad food. The chips (for which they charge $3.95 for a small size) come straight out of a bag and are stale. The taste of the salsa is not recognizable. And one of my dinner companions could not eat his burrito because... More

Lunch with the family - my first time - daughter knew the ordering drill. Self serve with a buzzer. All worked well. Portions were large, and food was tasty. Roof was full so we at downstairs - comfortable but a bit on the small side. Prices were reasonable. Can see why this is a college kid place to go. But... More

We tried Surfside after ready the good reviews. It was a busy Friday night and when we entered it wasn't obvious what to do. Upon watching others we realized that you had to put your order on a slip of paper marking the items you wanted on your taco/salad/burrito etc. Even though we were together the cashier rung up our... Very good food. I ordered salad topped with extra steak, chicken, and shrimps. It was a meal itself. That was outstanding! Everything tasted fresh! Meat, chicken were very tender and juicy! I loved it! Definitely going back when will be in the area!

In DC to pick our son up from college and he brought us here-- a favorite spot We loved the cafeteria style ordering. My custom salad was just what I wanted and my son had a burrito bowl that is his standard. My husband wasn't as happy with his qeusadilla, but we all loved sitting on the roof and watching... More

I often come back to Surfside, mostly for take-out - fresh stuff, always good. Tried most of the menu so far. Try the salads with blackened salmon, the the shrimp.

Surfside has been our go-to place for Cinco de Mayo celebrations for the last 3 years. It has a low ket rooftop bar with a tent cover, has good margaritas and fresh food. It is great for groups as it is self service (don't worry about splitting checks) and no pressure to turn over the tables. First come first serve.

This spot was close to our hotel and we went for lunch. Ordering is a bit confusing-- you place order -find a seat and come back for it. We were not told the chips and cheese app was ready first so when we went for main course the cheese was lukewarm and the overall presentation was poor. Food was just... More
