This is a great place to check out for good artisan cheese. The staff are friendly, knowledgable and know what they're taking about. There's no snootyness at all, as well. They're definitely worth talking to and taking a recommendation from. Additionally, they sell wines and a small selection of craft beers. They even have sandwiches for sale, which I'm sure... More

Found this while doing the stray boots walking tour of dc. This was a breath of fresh air among the high-end chains in penn quarter. Chocolates, cookies, coffee, cheeses and wines. Free wine and cheese tasting on friday nights!

I've been buying from Cowgirl Creamery since it first opened in Washington. (I've been to the original in Sonoma County but that was a whole other experience) I think everything has gotten more expensive here. The cheese, the wine, the lunches, the accoutrement. And with the proliferation of really excellent cheese shops around the DC metro area, the Cowgirls are... More

The cheese mongers in the shop really know what they are selling and try to be very helpful. I purchased the Mt. Tam, a triple cream cheese, and loved it, it was very decadent and I will be back to purchase more! At the time I visited, there were only full rounds of the cheese and the staff was kind... More

They have a great selection of cheese (as Swiss, I would have liked some more Swiss cheeses though). In addition, they sell other things like jam, meat, pasta etc. All of it real delicacies. Staff was very friendly. Most of their products are quite expensive - but the vast majority of the products are worth the money.

We've been frequenting this shoppe over the past two years; and it's been our go-to cheese stop. When friends are in the city, we always stop here for cheese and next door for chocolate. Yesterday on a cold blustery day, we stopped in to find the front end staff helpful and happy; but the cheese staff grumpy; and the cheese... More

Fantastic cheese shop. But not only the selection of cheese was fantastic, but the attitude of the staff. They helped our daughter (12) select cheese to sample and made recommendations for her. For me, they were knowledgeable about their beer selection and able to choose great options based on what I liked. The cheese is not inexpensive, but I'd rather... More

A rat find. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Cheeses that were off the chart. Great place to pick up lunch. Tomato soup served with homemade creme fraishce and fresh made croutons. Delightful sandwiches on artisan bread. Cheeses from across the country. Try many!

Ok. So it's a cheese shop. That's nice. But then you find the sandwiches made fresh (they bring more out, fresh made, every few minutes). And then there's the jams and jellies. YUM !. The staff is gluten and dairy free knowledgeable (rather odd for a cheese shop) and it's just a really fun place to grab lunch or load... More

Visit Morgan and Gower Cheesemongers one block from the boardwalk on Baltimore for speciality cheeses including Cowgirl Creamery's finest.
