Very nice French/Belgian food at a decent price

We had their rib eye steak (superb), hanger steak (superb), their tuna tartar (spectacular), and some desserts (very good). We have been there many times and the food is consistently good and at a reasonable level for French/Belgian restaurants in the Washington area. If it is full on a weekend... read more

You can't go wrong with this classic French Belgian bistro. Known for their mussels but I've never had a bad meal. Dined there last night and had the cavatelli with lamb and eggplant, as well as the foie gras terrine. Always delicious. Reservations a must or arrive before 6:30 as a walk in. Small restaurant and tiny bar. I have... More

This was a terrible experience. I went with my husband expecting to have a nice dinner, instead we found an extremely noisy restaurant. The tables were packed together with no privacy at all. The waiters were all very stressed and not kind at all. I guess the owners could really think if they want to overbook this place with so... More

I have been to Et Voila! several times for business or family lunches and it is far from being consistent. Quality is not always there (fish overcooked, fries too salty) and it is pretty expensive for what you get. I also had the bad surprise to get there and they had no mussel. I might not get there again.

I am fond of this venue and love the menu as well as the lively atmosphere. I don't know why I don't come here more often; I suppose it has to do with crossing Chain Bridge. Service is always good; the menu selections are difficult for me to choose because of competing, appealing dishes; and my group always seems satisfied.... More

Service! My first time there with my wife we were treated as if we were regular; I thought I was in a fine eating establishment in Europe treated by professional staff from Byron the bartender, Johan the Manager, Marc our host to Claudio the chef. This is a very well managed restaurant which is run like an orchestra and where... More

We had a great dinner at Et Voila. I had the mussels with saffron. The pot of mussels was bottomless. I tried to finish all the broth but I had to give in. My friend enjoyed her flank steak. It is a bit noisy but definitely is a must

Small, narrow, and stingy in space, but the Belgian-Continental food is amazing, starting with the appetizers, followed by superb main dishes, including beef tartar, duck, and rabbit, and ending with delightful desserts. No-nonsense good service, which becomes friendlier as the evening progresses, and the price is right.

I recently had brunch here. Previously, i'd only had dinner, and while it was superb, it was packed and quite noisy. On a recent Saturday at noon, the place was quiet enough to have a pleasant conversation without difficulty. Service was fine and not hurried. The brunch menu was fairly extensive and there were several options of a regular entree.... More

This is a wonderful little place for French/Belgium food without having to travel all the way into DC. The wait staff was great. The salad was fresh and tasty. The hanger steak was very good. The scallops were also good and the fries were crisp and light.
