We had dinner twice here while on vacation this week. The first time my husband had the 1895 steak which was very good -cooked perfectly and tender. I had their Chicken Crepes also very good. The second dinner was just superb we started with their French Onion Soup - best one I ever had. The appetizer was prosciutto wrapped asparagus... More

The food is excellent, especially the sampler versions, even at noon, when you are in a rush. They used to have a nice patè with salad, but apparently they don´t offer it any longer. The staff is so helpful. Skipping dessert will leave room for a wonderful expresso and petit fours and lingering: none will rush you. Just perfect. A... More

The food quality and service was very good. Price is somewhat expensive but normal for the location. Everything in the area tends to be expensive. The White House is only a few blocks away. Located in the Sofitel Hotel where we stayed which is why we ate here. But it is rated very high for a reason.

Enjoyed an early dinner before the theater. Just a delightful dining experience from start to finish where thought and skill went into each aspect---food, service, decor. I started with the waldorf salad, light on calories yet pleasing to the eye and palate; my husband had the french onion soup the best he has had! For my main course, I truly... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners at the restaurant. The waitstaff and manager were friendly and attentive. They have a good kids menu that my child enjoyed ordering from. The sea bass is delicious, and French onion soup was one of the few good ones that I have had, and the citrus cup was refreshing. The seafood linguini was my daughter's... More

The service here was excellent. The ambiance was romantic. The place was very well done. The food was great. It was a fixed menu but had a few selections for each course. We were very happy and ate a lot of food. It is very expensive though we spent over $200 and did not drink. I would come back here... More

The two of us had dinner here on New Year's Eve. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and the experience, but we wondered if this could really be one of the best restaurants in Washington (#4 on TripAdvisor at the time). The room is quite small, but tasteful. The staff were very gracious and polite, but not as quick as I... More

On the ground floor of the Sofitel in a nice part of downtown DC. We came at 8:30pm and there was only one other table occupied (being the day after Xmas). Decor is contemporary and comfortable, Menu is French, short and precise. Having eaten out for the past 2 weeks as we were visiting from overseas, it was nice to... More

I was a little hesitant to go to Ici as I was travelling alone and didn't know if the atmosphere would be ok, but I needn't have feared. The staff made me feel totally comfortable, seated me by a nice table window, and was extremely attentive and accomodating throughout the meal. I enjoyed the Beet Salad from the Skinny menu... More

A few steps from Lafayette Square, Le bar ICI (as in "here" in French) offers old world charm with a vibrant and young cadre of staff. I began my soirée accompanied by a fascinating, complex, and rather smokey flavored 16 year old single malt, Lagavulin, as I read the FT in a comfortable leather seat strategically located at the center...
