This is the cutest cafe! I came here to do some work on my laptop. I got a chocolate croissant and a latte which were both to die for! I love the outdoor patio which is also dog friendly. It has a European feel to it.

Patisserie Poupon has one of the best pastry in the DC area. Their napoleon has a perfect combination of the crunchiness and sweetness of the crust with a flavorful custard. Other pastries and cakes are also delicious and not too sweet. While salads and quiches are testy I would go their primarily because of their deserts. I think that they... More

I've visited this place twice, and have to say the coffee is pretty good...BUT both times I was disappointed at the service. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, I was stunned at how unwelcoming the environment it is. Service with a smile and kindness goes a long way. This poor attitude will keep us away!

Our most favorite breakfast place in DC by far! God value, great variety, seasonal offerings, excellent pastries, and a lot more than than. We've used it for here or to go and have always been happy with the quality. The place is very casual with a typical European/French flavor, but their treats are delicious, can't compare to american cafes. Feels... More

I've never come here for lunch or dinner. But we've had some of our best Saturday mornings in this cafe enjoying the fabulous croissants, and other French breakfast pastries. You will taste the fresh butter used in these fine pastires, not an oily substitute. Enjoy the breads and pastries with a cup of their ILLY coffee which you can have... More

I was checking out various options for dining in Georgetown after an afternoon movie, and once I saw the line out the door at Patisserie Poupon, and the fact that I love crepes, my decision was an easy one to make. I actually bought my goodies and took them to go, returning to my hotel to enjoy the feast. The... More

It is so hard to walk past the pastry case without being ordering one of everything in it. The cakes and pastries are every bit as good as they look. The croissants and bread are first rate. I love the almond croissants the best of all.

We visited Patisserie Poupon on a Saturday morning just to try some of their pastries. This was our first visit to the pastry shop. They are located on Wisconsin, a 5-10 minute walk north from M Street in Georgetown. The pastry shop is relatively small, but they have managed to squeeze about a dozen two-person tables on premises, both inside... More

Patisserie Poupon, tradition francaise, was our choice for a Georgetown friend we greeted with a Sunday brunch -- picked up there on-the-fly. The helpful and ultra friendly staff were patient and informative in the packed eatery -- crowded small tables with the muted conversations of diners enjoying pasteries, coffees and the Sunday newpaper. The selection of fresh breads, rolls, muffins... More
