French Bakery

My friend just love this place and every time i am in DC he takes me there. I cant say that the cafe itself is beautiful and comfortable, but what they serve worth everything. You definitely should try all their cookies and yummys they have

Pass up the trendy bakeries and Georgetown and walk tr extra mile to reach this authentic patisserie on Wisconsin. Croissants, madeleines, mini palmiers and even the Breton speciality kouign amann are all available (and fabulous). One of the best bakeries I've been to in a long time.

We stopped by this small bakery cafe during our trip. It was the next day of Thanksgiving so the shop was extremely crowded with the people who took break after hanging/shopping around Georgetown. I tried two individual tarts and large brioche. They were really good, just like the ones we tasted whilst our trip in Paris. Staff service was not that... More

This cute place has real authentic croissants - a bite transports you straight to France! Coffee and hot chocolate are delicious aswell and prepared with care and love (literally - you'll see). The prices are a notch above normal but worth every penny. Try to get a table on the cozy back porch.

This is the cutest cafe! I came here to do some work on my laptop. I got a chocolate croissant and a latte which were both to die for! I love the outdoor patio which is also dog friendly. It has a European feel to it.

Patisserie Poupon has one of the best pastry in the DC area. Their napoleon has a perfect combination of the crunchiness and sweetness of the crust with a flavorful custard. Other pastries and cakes are also delicious and not too sweet. While salads and quiches are testy I would go their primarily because of their deserts. I think that they... More

I've visited this place twice, and have to say the coffee is pretty good...BUT both times I was disappointed at the service. From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left, I was stunned at how unwelcoming the environment it is. Service with a smile and kindness goes a long way. This poor attitude will keep us away!

Our most favorite breakfast place in DC by far! God value, great variety, seasonal offerings, excellent pastries, and a lot more than than. We've used it for here or to go and have always been happy with the quality. The place is very casual with a typical European/French flavor, but their treats are delicious, can't compare to american cafes. Feels... More

I've never come here for lunch or dinner. But we've had some of our best Saturday mornings in this cafe enjoying the fabulous croissants, and other French breakfast pastries. You will taste the fresh butter used in these fine pastires, not an oily substitute. Enjoy the breads and pastries with a cup of their ILLY coffee which you can have... More
