Tea time at Tryst

Afternoon a few hours viewing the Phillips Collection, we decided to relax and recharge with a pot of tea at Tryst located right inside the museum. The place had a nice buzz with groups of all ages and an interesting slide show playing to learn more about the exhibits on display. Although it was... read more

European cafe culture outside of Europe? Waiters not rushing to offer your check after you finish your drinks? Sign me up! Tryst stays true to cafe culture, but does so in a modern way. There are a few tables outside, and plentiful couches and chairs inside. Drinks come with a pair of animal crackers. Tea, served in a large pot... More

Relaxing place for lunch with super friendly waitress. There were tons of options on the menu for everyone. We have a salmon sandwich and squash flatbread. Yummy! As much as we would like to try desserts, we just can't eat anymore. Will definitely go back to try their coffee and dessert very very soon :)

Our family spent 4 days in D.C. and we are sad that we didn't find this gem until our last day! We ate at several popular local restaurants and this was by far the best meal we had and the best value as well!! Great eclectic atmosphere and friendly service too! Highly recommend!

So many places to choose from in Adams Morgan.. Walking by decided to stop and sit outside in the sunshine. Had 3 mushroom tart with green salad AND Lavender hot chocolate. The tart was just the right size , full of different mushrooms and flavorful. The salad was fresh and tasty with blue cheese dressing. I was happy. Now the... More

I went here on a Sunday afternoon, it's a great place to just have lunch, coffees and work a bit or read a book. Good atmosphere and very friendly service!

I've been here before for coffee and tea. But today I went for pastries. It was impossible to get a seat, it was crowded. I ordered a slice of apple caramel pie and coconut pie. Both were delicious. Not too sweet. Coffee is also very good.

Well, if this is what you are looking for, this is the BMW of coffee bars. Let me say, right off, their coffee and food and baked goods and even their gratis doggie treats are top of the line. Their coffee is so good, this is where I buy my beans by the pound. Old sofas, tables and chairs are... More

They have good coffee and mulled wine. It is an urban place which people could feel comfortable when it is not too crowded.it has soft furnishings as well as wooded tables and chair. Interesting thing is sometimes you might have to sit very close to a stranger because there is only the big table left to sit.Overall, it is a... More

This is the type of Cafe/lounge that suits any occasion, you can have your huge mug of coffee while doing some work, you can dine with friends or have a casual business meeting. Love the ambiance and it's quality product.
