Great independent coffee house with a casual atmosphere. About a 15 minute walk from the Woodley Park metro stop, it is worth the walk if you are in the area to visit the zoo. Fabulous food and great coffee. Staff is friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Family friendly with seating inside or out. Food options span the full gamut... More

Great space indoor and out - casual and comfortable to hang out and enjoy great coffee drinks, pastries... and then gradually work your way to a meal... or more coffee and pastries... or even a beer... friendly and quick service... good prices.

This coffee house and restaurant is a great place to pause, meet up with friends, have a casual lunch or hang out. Little or no pressure from the staff to order, eat and move on. Tryst is a great spot to take your laptop and get some work done. The coffee and espresso drinks are good, and the food that I've had (gazpacho, hummus platter) is quite good too. The servers are attentive and come around frequently to check on you and see if you need anything else. This place is always busy and is... More

Great coffee shop and brunch spot. I hade the chaipaccino which was delish with little animal crackers on the side. I also enjoyed the turkey sandwich with avocado and red peppers very good as well. The service was attentive even on the patio! Adams Morgan in General seeks to be more of a "free spirited" bar scene and I would... More

My boyfriend and I visit Tryst anytime we come to DC. It is the perfect coffee house in my eyes. They have delicious coffee and a fantastic atmosphere. We always talk about how if we ever moved to DC we would be there every day! My favorites are the cuban coffee and the honey cinnamon scones. Try them!

If you're looking for a casual cafe, this is a fantastic place to sit, have a latte, and read the paper. A nice place that's hidden in Adams Morgan - off the beaten path - where native DCers come to relax.

If you are looking for a coffee shop with a vibe, this is it. Not overly trendy or hipster, just casual and cool. Coffee is roasted by counter culture and they have several single origin options. The menu was was pretty eclectic and seems like you could find a good option no matter what you like. I had a ham... More

Quirky little coffee shop cafe for having a yummy sandwich or salad and great place to park and get on internet. Very hip and laid back atmosphere.
