This is a wonderful restaurant in Trinidad which serves a buffet of chicken, pork, rice and beans and numerous other dishes served throughout Cuba. The Aché music group played during lunch and added to the flavor of all. I would especially comment on their cookies for dessert as a complement to ice cream.

We liked this as a place for evening drinks - it has a courtyard which is pleasant. The restaurant is buffet style for lunch and the quality was ok. Also quite a wide choice and pretty good value.

There was plenty to choose from at this buffet style lunch: including battered fish and grilled fish, and delicious black beans. I don't eat meat, so this was ideal, a friend even had the idea of using the vegetable soup as a sauce for the usually bland white fish, and it worked. There was also a salad bar and delicious... We had got this restaurant recommended by a friend but felt utterly disappointed. The place gets extremely busy during lunch hours when bus loads of tourists on a day trip to Trinidad need a quick fix, but it sits pretty desolate during the evenings despite its excellent central location. We were disgusted by the careless way the heaps of food... More

I will say this in my other Cuban reviews - but TAKE NOTE.... If you want to eat excellent food in Cuba,go to the Paladares (private homes - usually named after the owner). The government-run restaurants like this one are limited in what they are allowed to serve and at what price, so are only ever average. This restaurant, however,... More

We stopped in here for lunch. Undoubtedly it would be great for dinner, too. One of those places where we took photos of our dishes before diving into them. Several authentic classic Cuban cuisine dishes. Everything pronounced excellent by all in our party.

Just the staff is enough to feel fine in this plaace. The food is really under average. The musicians are excellent. Palmares shoud pay more attention to this and other locations in the hoistorical downtown.

This restaurant boasts a popular buffet. The food was a little different from other places we have eaten - actually ate something green that wasn't shredded cabbage! and there were some interesting combination salads.Chicken, rice and beans all very good. Ice cream was excellent and self-serve!

The best thing I can say about this restaurant is that it was open on new year's eve. Many places were closed. The food was adequate and the service was friendly.
