Irish pub with Italian pizza run by an American in New Zealand?

Irish pub with Italian pizza run by an American in New Zealand? Sounds odd but it worked. Came in on a slightly wet day and we were just in time for the Rugby. The fire was raging, the Guinness was good and the pizza fantastic.

Great Pizza's, service was slow at the bar & waitresses were a bit of mutton dressed as lamb. Still had a good time. Loads of interesting pics & information on every wall.

Not what one expects from an Irish pub. Guiness tap ran out half way through pouring the bar woman changed the tap and filled the rest of the pint! Seems she hadn't been shown how to pour a good pint! Kinda just wanted to leave after just arriving! Pizza looked really great would have liked some but had just eaten... More

Hike Queen Charlotte then get a victory beer here. Friendly staff and cozy little pub right in Picton. Pizza and a pint for $20!

Our last visit was 3 years ago in the days that this establishment was run by a personable young Irish guy and his parents - unfortunately they have moved on, and the Steak and Guinness pie we had been looking forward to was no longer available - just pizzas (and they were fairly good pizzas).

I have just had the best pizza in New Zealand at the friendly Irish pub. And the Baily's slushy that Debbie suggested to go with it was delish!! Great atmosphere, great service and awesome food!!

My wife and I, along with two friends had a meal and a few drinks at this pub. We found the food and hospitality to be of a very high standard, the prices were OK as well. Unfortunately we were there on a Thursday and missed the live entertainment, Friday and Saturday I think. The pizzas that Neil the host... More

We had a wonderful time, the staff were very friendly and the food was yummy, we loved the set out of the place with lots of nice little alcoves to sit in so you felt like you were alone even though you were in a resturant full of people. Loved it!

Decided to go on Paddy's day which for an Irish pub like this should be as big as new year. Sadly it felt like they were lacking in effort. There was the standard daft hats and tattoos which you get in every bar yet for some reason you had to buy 4 pints in one go to get a hat,... More

It is clear to us that after drinking 16 pints of Guinness you do not have a clear memory of the events that occurred. More
