We stopped in for a beer on our campervan trip around NZ and were pleasantly surprised by the cosy, warm, Irish atmosphere. There is a good selection of Irish and local beers (the harringtons beer was superb). Best pizza I've had in a long time with homemade bases. Friendly Irish owner who pours a good beer. Highly recommended by Aussies... More

Good afternoon Matt and Bonnie Thanks you very much for the fantastic review. We enjoyed your company as much as you enjoyed The Irish Bar. Be sure to drop on in next time you are in town. The Pizza will still be the Best and the beer will be poured to perfection. Enjoy your travels :) More

Cosy little pub in Picton, worth the drive from Blenheim on a boring Saturday. We went for a walk on the Picton waterfront then ducked in for a pint, and ended up staying for pizza. It might seem odd to have an Irish pizzeria, but our pizza was fresh and tasty, and the staff were welcoming - no complaints here!

A warm and comforting little place on a cold wet night in Picton. Much smaller than the usual mainstream Irish pubs but definitely Irish in theme.

This little pub turned out to be fantastic! Centrally located and serves food until a very reasonable hour. We were instantly at home in the small yet welcoming beer house. They had a great selection of tap and bottled beer as well as cider. The pizzas were amazing! The Hawaiian and Shrimp pizzas are our favourites, they are nice thinner... More

Seamus's used to be a regular destination when ever we were in Picton, it was a very typical Irish Pub serving really good wholesome Pub Grub - So, it was a complete shock when we turned up there on a cold Tuesday night to find that now the only food on offer is PIZZA.........the place was empty and did not... Tried to get in here both stay overs in Picton and first time was Good Friday, just remolding. Next time it was closed again as it was Sunday. They are missing out on some business for sure. I understand Good Friday, as it is the law, but not open on a Sunday?

Small pub, the service and meals were good. We ordered the guinness pie (which was nice but a little smaller and watery than Im use to) and the lamb shank which was huge and tasty.

There is nothing like a quaint Irish Pub. In the true Irish Tradition the welcome was friendly, the servings generous and the price made it good value. The atmosphere is very Irish authentic as you would expect with Irish memoriabilia. A must visit when in Picton. Slainthe!!!

The food was rather ordinary - the lamb shanks quite tasteless, the mash lumpy and the gravy was probably from a package. Worse still, our name on the bill was listed as 'older couple'! How rude! Was another couple described as 'older still' and another 'oldest'. Perhaps the couple at the next table were 'baldy and fat lady'. I think... More
