Just loved this place, went there a few times, while staying in Picton, nearly every night (at least in summer) they've got live music, the service was really good, the choices of beer were great and the best of it all was the variety of whisky, which was incredible, loads of different Irish and Scotch whiskies plus the standard Bourbons.... Great atmosphere, warm friendly people happy to chat. Great range of drinks and menu looked good and although we didn't eat the meals going by looked great.

Had their stew which was very hearty fare. Wife had a fish dish that was okay but not sterling. Good beer selection on draft & bottles

I say it to anyone who wants to hear it: This is the best Irish Pub in New Zealand (and I have seen more than a few). Until a couple of years ago Seamus’s also might have been the smallest Irish Pub in NZ. But I am not writing about the cosy atmosphere and the perfectly poured Guinness - this... More

Our group of 4 visited this bar .The service was good and atmosphere was also ok but 4 beers for NZ $36 was way over the top. We had come from Auckland and 4 beers at Viaduct do not cost this much. Had to leave and go were prices are reasonable.

We had heard from other travellers we met on Sunday that Saturday night at Seamus was the place to be - sorry we missed it by one night - but Sunday night was lots of fun anyway! Very friendly, your perfect Irish pub - great pub menu with a nod of the head to local seafood. When back in Picton,... More

Excellent service and good range of drinks on offer. We didn't eat there but the menu looked pretty good. One of the better Irish bars I've visited abroad, no plastic and close to the version found in the home country.

Arriving at 1 in the afternoon, after ordering a water and a beer, and paying for them, we were told that lunch was not available until after two. A bit later I was allowed to order a pot pie, and my wife was told she could go next door and order from the fish and chips place and bring it... More
