The food, when it arrived, was excellent. The wait staff was all friendly and helpful. But, the wait for the food was silly. When our meal finally came, they were shutting off the lights for the evening so we ate in semi-darkness. Crazy place. If you have a very relaxed attitude, the food is worth it.

What a terrific location, directly across from the water and amongst it all...but the food is a real shame. Ordered their eggs Benedict, arrived looking delicious however two bites in and I discover a very long black hair that I actually had to remove from my mouth.....gross. Advising the waitress she took the dish and said she would speak to... More

We visited Picton both on our way, and way back, from the Inter Island Ferry. We decided to go in to the Seabreeze Café for a coffee and cake - warm chocolate cake and very moist carrot cake. Good coffee too. My husband and I then revisited this café for breakfast a week later and it was fabulous. French toast... More

A real shame. The location is fantastic and the restaurant looks nice with a good set up - but this must be what they're riding on as the food is a joke. Considering the daily fresh fish available and the constant stream of tourists, the food on offer was likely something out of a microwave, tasteless, sloppy and luke warm.... More

We went to this restaurant for dinner. The food was very good - when it eventually came. We had waited almost an hour and a half. When the food eventually came we received no apology.

Our first visit failed. On entry to get some dinner we were politely told they'd just sat a large party and did we mind an hour's wait for food. We didn't fancy it so went back the next day for dinner outside in the sunshine. We also went twice for breakfast and the coffee is good too. This isn't a... More

They are open early in the morning for breakfast before you embark upon a day trip/boat ride around the Marlborough sound. They will also prepare sandwiches to take on hikes/day trips. Helpful, friendly and efficient staff. Sits on the corner of the Picton main street and the harbour. It is also a short walk down to the tourist office where... More
