1st time at the Trading room for dinner and will be back. The food had well balanced flavour respecting the basics of cooking, i would say the most mediterranean cuisine in Akaroa so far. The waiting staff was attentive too, a bit of wait between the main and the dessert, well, seeing the size of the dessert that wasn't a... More

lovely warm environment and great food. Between us we had the beef pie, the seafood pasta special and the club sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it all. Highly recommended.

Our service was very slow due to being understaffed on a winter's weekend lunchday, and the food was pricey. Although probably average by Akaroa standards. It was very good if a bit small portions for the price. The atmosphere was attractive, despite having a lot of corporate branding. Could have been a bit warmer, but was warm-ish by NZ standards.

Went to Akaroa on a cold winters day and decided on lunch at The Trading Rooms after reading the menu by god door. We definitely made the right decision. They were very busy, which meant we had a bit of a wait, but if was worth it. The breads and dips starter was tasty with plenty to go around, the... More

I got out of my American comfort zone and had the lamb dinner special. This consisted of roast lamb loin which was so tender and another lamb dish. The veggies were good, crisp, and had two purees, one with cumin. Excellent dinner with professional staff.

My groom, and friends had our wedding dinner here, and I was nervous as we hadn't dined here before. We couldn't have asked for a more sumptuous dinner, it was so incredibly good, and I am so very grateful for the fabulous service and utterly goregous meals that the eight of us had on our very special night. Thankyou for... More

me and my girlfriend we decided to stop there for lunch. Nice combination of salmon and lovely wine list! I loved every single aspect of the restaurant and that's why they deserve a 5 *

It was a warm and sunny day, we had lunch after our cruise. The food was great ! All 12 of us enjoyed our food and we had dozens of Bluff Oysters which was in season.

Every time I dine here the food is amazing, the view is stunning, the staff are super super friendly and knowledgeable, the building is spotless and the experience is always a special one. I am a huge fan of the Fruits De Mer seafood platter, Oysters and the chocolate fondant - must haves. The menu really showcases the local produce... More

This was our second visit to the trading rooms, we ate here a while ago and really enjoyed it so on our latest visit to akaroa we decided to return for dinner and we were not disappointed! My partner had terrine with a yummy Fijoa chutney follow by venison! He loved it! I chose the beef fillet which was cooked... More
