Delicious Fish for a summer lunch

I have been there last December during my NZ tour, since you cannot miss at least half day in Akaroa if you are wondering around Christchurch. Well here you can taste a really nice mix seafood dish, all is fresh and your day will be great after that! Soo you soon guys.

We only had the fish chowder but it was awesome. Actually my wife had a dessert too and that was good but the chowder was worth writing home about. Beer selection is good, the service was friendly and efficient. The location is fantastic, right by the ocean.

We originally planned on going elsewhere because we really wanted croissants but the place we planned was closed for winter. Ended up here with a grumpy young child who soon cheered up with the excellent staff. Really good choice of food, good price, kids menu, quick attentive service even though there were large groups in. Easiest recommendation ever! Thank you!

We've been here a few times. Good brunch/lunch stop. Never bad food but not setting the world on fire with amazing flavour combinations. Great place for eggs bennie, burger and chips, good salad. A true NZ restaurant with all the favourites.

My partner and I was deciding what to have for breakfast on our last day in Akaroa. As morning breakfast service was coming to an end we had spotted the breakfast here and a few things caught our eye. We happened to see our boat cruise guide from the day before and she recommended us to here for breakfast. We... More

It began with a late morning tea break coffee and a potplant scone which allowed us to skip lunch and get on a harbour cruise. Went back for dinner learnt about the Pirate Bully Hayes from a delightful German waitress with a great sense of humour. The food was first class great menu options. Large glass of wine options. We wanted to have salmon and our guide recommended this place. We had their seafood platter which was average (consisted of hot smoked salmon, pate, salmon gravlax, fish escabeche, poached salmon, mussels, prawns, crispy squid), but their Akaroa Salmon was good.

We stopped for lunch on a cold day. We all ordered beautifully fresh blue cod and it didn't disappoint. Served with salary and a heap of chips this made for a delicious lunch.
