You need to get there early or order the day before, apparently the only place in town doing croissants although we did see them at the butchery on the way out.

Compared to most venues in Akaroa the food choices and prices were reasonable. Great assortment of cakes. They don't want you to stay long if the seating is anything to go by - square footstools are hard to sit on for too long.

This is the best little stop for sustenance in Akaroa. The cabinet food is great, the coffee is excellent and the staff are delightful. Service is always accompanied with a smile. Not a lot of seating but hey that is minor.

Food and coffee were good, but the waitress was a bit miserable and could have been friendlier. Enough said.
