Great food. Nice simple cafe

Good range of fresh cafe food. Nice place to sit and enjoy a drink. Hot chocolate was good. Great spot. Grab a lunch to go for harbour cruises. Hot pies are awesome.

I always have my coffee here. Last time, I tried their food and it was amazing. The food was very French which always been my favourite. It is open during winter. Highly recommended.

Bring a friend... they sure do serve a lot of food. The oil was clean because there was not transfer of flavors that you get when a restaurant uses the oil a little too long.

The breakfast offerings are quite limited but you can “do the French thing” by dosing up on the Parisien breakfast of baguette, croissant, pan au choc with jam & butter, fruit and hot drink. Whilst the coffee may not be the best around, the croque monsieur (8.8) is much like the ones you’d get on the streets of Paris. Sliced... More

The location was right, the food was fine (but not great), but the woman serving was as sour and miserable as can be. Her presence ruined the whole experience.

Why would anyone go into the hospitality business if they are miserable with people. We are staying 2 weeks in Akoroa and would return frequently except not to be insulted by this miserable lady. Such a shame. There are many places in town to go to, don't bother with this one!

Was a bit wary of going here after reading some of the reviews, but decided to chance it. On the first day we went, it was excellent. Smiling, friendly service delivered very good coffee and cabinet food. The place is clean and bright, and the outdoor seating provides great views. The next day was a bit different. I suspect we... Always stop and buy our lunch here. Wonderful selection of cafe food. Great coffee. Can be a bit busy but that's because it's very popular. Can have your Bruce/lunch sitting outside over looking the harbour.

Freshly baked brioches, and good coffee....good way to start the day. Friendly staff even though they lost their electricity in the morning we visited.
