So nice to see a smile and a sense of humour

we spent the long Anzac weekend in Akaroa and popped into this cafe every day primarily because the staff were friendly, and had a smile and a fun manner even though it is a very busy place. Would recommend. Sit inside or on the narrow footpath, right by the seashore.

Always stop and buy our lunch here. Wonderful selection of cafe food. Great coffee. Can be a bit busy but that's because it's very popular. Can have your Bruce/lunch sitting outside over looking the harbour.

Freshly baked brioches, and good coffee....good way to start the day. Friendly staff even though they lost their electricity in the morning we visited.

Went here for a French pastry breakfast. Choices of pasteries limited. Believe could have had a a bigger range, or is it that the rest of popular pastries are Danish?

It was lovely to sit in the little deli and look put over the water. We went to breakfast very early and this seemed to be the only, ave open. We had a breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon and tomato and could have just sat there for hours. Great food and a beautiful setting

We (four of us including an eight year old) opted for lunch here because of the interesting and reasonably priced menu. We were not disappointed, and as a bonus had a lovely conversation with the staff as well. I went back to write down the name so that I could review it accurately because we were all impressed by both... More

I had breakfast here on a sunny but cool Friday morning. The scones and tea were nice, but I would say the cafe was a bit cramped and crowded. I sat outside, to enjoy the view of the bay, and it was worth it. Everyone was very polite and friendly and it was a good start to the day.

I had somekind of salmon sandwich and it was the best sandwich I've ever had. We also order chocolate pastry and had it heated. That was good also.

Such a pity that the management staff have no customer service, twice I've been in and each time I feel like a school girl being repremanded by the headmistress. This staff member was almost rude in her manner, won't be coming again .

This is a very appealing little space and overall breakfast was OK but not great. We shared a lovely fresh fruit and yogurt - very generous size. The croque Madame was disappointing as the poached egg was microwaved and dry. The cheese was a bit overpowering and ham so so. Served on Brioche was not to my liking. So the... More
