The bakery is closed due to a fire which gutted the premises. This is sad as it was in a prime position on the water front and the community needed it.

We decided for something g that wasn't to heavy and ad two pizzas which for two was just enough to overcome the hunger pains. The pizzas were on a thin pastry and the favours especially the Akaroa Salmon was excellent. We had takeaway and prices of around $22 was good value. Worthy trying.

Loved the atmosphere of the bakery, and the setting along the beach front was amazing. The selection of goods was very good and should fit most tastes including those of little children should you wish to drop by for a bite.

We decided to have breakfast here before our Nature cruise. There were limited options available as the food was pre-prepared. The lady serving us seemed very abrupt bordering on rude to all the tourists she served while we were there until a couple of locals walked in and she had a sudden attitude adjustment. Maybe the cruise ships have been... More

For a fishing town the fish and chips were quite expensive $25 pp +. This bakery had huge portions enough to share for $22 including coffees, we are not tight but it pays to shop around. It was fabulous fish the best Cod we have had in years

We purchased fresh multigrain bread and lovely rolls for our lunches on our tramp through Banks Peninsula. They remained fresh for the few days we needed them and would definitely recommend this bakery.

This place doesnt look like a french bakery and they certainly don't do many french pastries but the croissants are surperb. We made a point of getting them first thing each morning to avoid missing out. The french breads are only baked on the weekend. Coffee was also great. We found the new manager to be extremely friendly and generous!

Store lady a bit abrupt as I had trouble opening the door. Food was average. I wouldn't go there again.
