Special Experience

We had the most amazing experience. First impression is just how small this place is, just 10 or so tables. While the tables are close together, it wasn't uncomfortable. Complementary house baked breads, while looking over the menu. Glass of Moet each, very reasonably priced. The menu itself... read more

A lovely little bistro (very apt name!) - gorgeous food and wine, good atmosphere and great service. Toasty warm on a cold night!

Always a great experience. Incredible food and service. It's a good idea to plan ahead and book in advance.

Lovely small restaurant. Lovely French waitress. All three courses were excellent. Great wine list. Well worth the visit.

First impression not the best as it was a cold evening and we didn't get that feeling of warmth on entering...in fact we felt it was a bit cold and could have done with more heating. We kept our coats on for a bit until we had acclimatised. We received bread... More

What an amazing little restaurant. A beautiful little cosy bistro located at the quieter end of town. The service from the young french girl was professional and friendly. The food was out of this world. the wife usually finds it difficult to order due to dietary requirements, but she was easily accommodated. The venison parfait and the pumpkin soup were... More

New owners have made their mark with this intimate restaurant undergoing a makeover offering a new menu and an extensive wine selection. With its black and white theme, the decor is clean and crisp. The wait staff were relaxed and professional. I had the free range chicken breast, served on polenta cake with mushroom/peppercorn sauce and vegetables. The chicken was... More

My partner and I heard this restaurant was the number one restaurant in Akaroa and going onto Trip Adviser here find it is and we are not surprised. We arrived and were welcomed by the owner who I had heard helped run Tiffanys fine dining Restaurant in Christchurch so my expectations were high. A small place but worked superb for... More

My husband and I stopped in for breakfast at this delightful "Little Bistro". With the French history of Akaroa, I wanted something French and delicious. They did not disappoint! Portions were huge and the food was fresh and delicious. I almost licked my plate! I had a wonderful French toast and hot chocolate with homemade marshmallows. My husband loved his... More
