Lovely feel, great atmosphere, exceptional food and service. The lamb rump was amazing and we had a wonderful night. Highly recommend.

We had the pleasure of dining at The Little Bistro last weekend and what a true delight that was. I had pre booked a table and we were welcomed into this delightful restaurant. The menu had a delicious offering of entree's, mains and desserts. I had the most heavenly Seafood Chowder followed by the Risotto and my partner had the... More

Oh dear! I really am going against the grain with this review. However, I must continue. We were recommended to go to The Little Bistro. We booked in the afternoon for 6.30pm and were greeted and shown our table. As with all bistro places, they are somewhat cramped and noisy, so we were not disappointed. However, the tables were too... More

I spent a lovely 3 days in Akaroa had spent my first evening in town dining at The Little Bistro. It was the best meal I had all weekend and the service was unbeatable. As a solo diner, they made me feel so welcomed and at home! The house sauvignon blanc was perfect as well :)

We visited this bistro during a month long visit to the South Island of NZ in April. It was definitely the best meal we had, and the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. We hadn't booked, but they still managed to squeeze us in (even though this involved changing tables in between courses, which we were happy to do). Be... More

Delicious food in a cute old house. From the foot path you can see the chef's in their tiny kitchen out the back. The food was excellent. The place was packed and it's pretty cramped and noisy when full so not really ideal for an intimate dinner unless on a quiet night. Not good for large groups.

Amazing dining experience. Food was excellent and the service matched. The waited even made me a cup of lemon tea as she noticed I was having some trouble coughing. Highly recommend.

My husband and I had a fantastic meal here. Service was great and food was amazing. So refreshing to go to a restaurant that serves quality meals and in the right portion sizes too. My husband had the seafood chowder as entree, which was delicious. I had the field mushrooms with welsh rarebit - which were to die for...yum! For... More

On our trip we arrived in Akaroa at around 8 pm. Only few restaurants were open, many very expensive and some unwelcoming. So we finally chose The Little Bistro because it seemed nice. However unplanned our visit was, we were overwhelmed by the friendly French waitress, the coureous owner and the delicious meals served. Although we had a student budget... More

Fantastic food, great ambience and service. My husband got the steak which he loved. My favourite was the lemon dessert - amazing. Definitely book ahead.
