3 courses of delicious food. Scrumptious scallops! Superb Steaks! Delicious dessert! Great atmosphere & excellent service. Emma is a great hostess. Catered for my husbands garlic allergy & even surprised him with a birthday candle.

Very simply: we had a super meal here. Just mains and deserts as we arrived late for the booking but they kept the table on a busy night, the service was super efficient and we couldn't have fitted more in without undue force. Great food, great service, a little expensive but well worth the investment...in a small town with a... More

We ate here on our last night in New Zealand. The bistro is very small & we were lucky to get a table. The menu was good & food was great. They were willing & able to cater for my gluten & dairy free diet. If we return to Akaroa we will eat here again.

This tiny bistro was really well patronised, but we managed to squeeze in somehow, although it got quite hot in there. The menu is small but interesting, and there's something for everyone. Knowledgeable and attentive staff rounded out a great night.

The Little Bistro team consistently deliver delicious food in an unpretentious setting - the seafood chowder burst with fresh wholesome flavour & the Risotto is a firm favourite with its smooth Amy flavours. The House Pinot perfectly compliments all of this on a beautiful Autumn evening looking across Jubilee park to the setting sun beyond - one word MAGNIFIQUE!!!!!

Great food! not a harbour location but a view across the cricket pitch. Very small restaurant so be prepared to cosy up with your fellow diners! The waitresses deserve a medal coping in such a confined space, but the food is good so worth it really. Do book ahead as it gets very busy!

We booked for a Saturday night, so expected it to be busy. The restaurant dining area is very small and the tables are close together, so if you wish for a quiet romantic dinner maybe try midweek. The menu was interesting and my husband enjoyed the salmon dish very much. I had the steak with Yorkshire pudding. It was tasty... More

Ate here on the recommendation of our motel, La Rochelle. Very busy but pleasant atmosphere, tables quite small so you do sit quite close to your fellow diners. Quite a few of the tables were full of locals, good sign we thought. Good quality food and wine with pleasant service. Enjoyed our evening.

Stumbled into this little restaurant on whim, and wondered why people kept coming in and making reservations for dinner. When lunch came, we were no longer surprised at the popularity of this very plain little place. The food was exquisite, even my 14 year old felt is was one of the best meals he ever had. The staff was friendly... More
