Interesting menu. The food with is very good and the service is courteous and friendly. Friday night BYO was good as we had been visiting wineries!

Nice small bistro with tightly packed tables. Food was very good and service efficient. Flavours were well constructed and the flow and timing of the courses was just right.

Fab food and great atmosphere. Definitely on the 'go back to' list. Don' t visit if you want privacy as tables are very close together due to small space but otherwise perfect.

warm and cozy (not fancy) with refined eclectic food choices sourced locally and seasonally - well plated, portions with a hard working but very friendly staff - supported by great NZ wine selection. Glad we had a reservation. All of our dishes from soup through dessert were excellent. The slow cooked braised pork belly, bourbon and brown sugar ribs as... More

We have just enjoyed a fantastic meal! We were a little hesitant to dine here as we are travelling with our two year old and this place has such a cosy romantic vibe... We couldn't have been made more welcome! The staff were so warm & friendly and definitely eased our nerves.... Thankfully little miss two was well behaved &... More

What this little restaurant lacks in size it more than makes up for in quality. Fantastic service with friendly and attentive staff with a menu that was superb. The soups were a real winner on a chilly evening. A very well thought out menu with something for everyone and it was all very fresh, well prepared and perfectly presented. What... More

My wife and I had an early dinner at the Little Bistro on Saturday evening (23 August). The food was superb. My Bluff oysters were sublime as was the main course - which we both had - of Akaroa Salmon. My wife finished with the Creme Brulee which she said now sets the standard! A lovely meal, excellent service and... More

We loved it, the food was amazing. I've been raving about it ever since. It only has about 10 tables so you may need to book!

Busy even in the Winter and understandably as this truly is a find. Stunning menu with loads of regional produce and the BEST seafood chowder imaginable. Fabulous wine list and professional service topped off the experience in this cosy bistro. Advice for Summer is to book 3 weeks in advance - don't miss out on this special place.

Our family had dinner int his little bistro and the food was excellent. Maybe the most expensive of our trip here but the food was worth the price. The seafood chowder and risotto was just excellent. My 6 year old took my risotto and also finished up her chowder leaving me with pastry for supper at the hotel later...
