My husband and I went here for a dinner whilst traveling NZ. We hadn't booked nor did we know about this place so we had "no expectations". It looked cosy and we decided to try it out as the menu was appealing and the atmosphere inviting. The service was great - perfect amount of time to consider the options (including... More

An intimate dining experience with great food and service. Nothing bad about the little bistro...I would recommend you try this out if you are wondering where to eat out in Akaroa

Really enjoyed the steak. Nice touch to have a piece of complimentary feta bread. Always disappointing though that as a single traveller, to be given a tiny table by the door. Doesn't make for a nice relaxing meal with my book.

This is a tiny French type restaurant so make a booking the day before so you won't miss out. The menu is varied and they gave a good wine and beer selection. The tables are tiny and squashed together but it adds to the atmosphere. The manager seems to do everything and runs from one table to the next delivering... More

I had not been here for at least 4 years, but it was still strong in my memory. So, to see if it lived up to my memories... It did not, it surpassed them. Quite, cosy, with brilliant wine and beer selection. Great range of options on the menu. To top it off, maybe the best coffee I have had... More

Stayed in Akaroa for our wedding anniversary and went here for dinner. My husband loves his seafood chowder and said this was the best he ever tasted. Not only was it hot all the way through, but had vege's in it to and tasted fantastic. Main meal was to die for - I had fish of the day and my... More

Nice small bistro with tightly packed tables. Food was very good and service efficient. Flavours were well constructed and the flow and timing of the courses was just right.

Fab food and great atmosphere. Definitely on the 'go back to' list. Don' t visit if you want privacy as tables are very close together due to small space but otherwise perfect.

warm and cozy (not fancy) with refined eclectic food choices sourced locally and seasonally - well plated, portions with a hard working but very friendly staff - supported by great NZ wine selection. Glad we had a reservation. All of our dishes from soup through dessert were excellent. The slow cooked braised pork belly, bourbon and brown sugar ribs as... More
