Great seafood platter

Called in for a late lunch. Very good staff delivered a shared seafood platter which we found excellent. Well priced for two and a great selection of seafood beautifully cooked. Accompanied by a very tasty salad. Great outlook. Recommended.

Apricot chicken pizza was our choice. This pizza was excellent and far exceeded our expectations of filling, flavour and size. In addition as it was Thursday night it was on a special at $15. There was plenty for the two of us and with a couple of drinks and coffee, the whole meal came to a very reasonable cost.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at L'Hotel. The service was excellent and the food was also very good. It was a wet day outside but inside we forgot about the weather!

We went on Thursday night which had pizzas for $15 - well worth it as a saving of around $10. The vegetarian pizza was absolutely delicious.

L'Hotel's Moule et Frites really hit the spot on a cool, rainy day in Akaroa, washed down, of course, with a pint of Cascade Gold Ale. Our order cost $25 NZD but we got a kilo (2.2 lbs) of deliciously prepared New Zealand Green Lipped Mussels. We sat in the enclosed front patio and people-watched while we waited for our... More

Outdoor tables with umbrellas overlooking the beach of the harbour. Good vibe. Good selection of drinks. Pleasant staff. Just near the pier.

Hotel had heating which was welcome. The staff were very friendly and the food was perfect. Many seats were reserved due to TV coverage of a footsie game but we were still given great seats and enjoyed our meals.

Good food, great service with a smile, reasonable prices. These guys understand service and the view from the table is just delightful. Must visit when in Akaroa.

Dropped in during the afternoon to look at the menu. Made to feel welcome so booked in for evening meal. Enjoyed the bruschetta followed by a delicious main of mussels while my wife enjoyed a beautifully cooked steak. This was followed by a couple of tasty deserts.

In what would seem to be a quiet night in the middle of the week, this corner dining and hotel establishment, right on the Akaroa waterfront, was simply overrun with people, and yet the service was still very good and attentive. I went with the Caesars salad with salmon, and while it was ample and really quite good, the salmon... More
