Food took over an hour to be served with an expensive price tag. This was okay until the Caesar salad was very dry with minimal meat. The steak sandwich looked nice but was cold. We were very disappointed and were allowed the meal free of charge. A Highly disappointing lunch.

Excellent food, excellent service, excellent view of harbor, and excellent seating outside. When the temperature/weather is just right, with no bugs, I really enjoy eating outdoors. This was such a place. Thank you.

Being early spring, the restaurants in Akaroa close early. However, we dined at L'Hotel two evenings as it was the only restaurant open. We had pizza the second night and it was extra special. Both meals were very good, with happy and attentive service. Full bar.

It was a lovely place to sit in the sun overlooking the water. Some mussells in garlic wine sauce and a NZ SB..perfect. Food slightly overpriced. ..so far New Zealand seems more expensive than Perth. But worth the extra for the view.

After taking a day trip to Akaroa we decided to stop and have a drink at the hotel and something to eat. Apart from 2 other people we were the only ones there. We ordered our meal and sat outside to enjoy the view. After 35 minutes my husband went and asked where our food was. The lady looked at... More

We visited LHotel on a quiet midweek night with our 2 young sons. We ordered the seafood chowder, a meat lovers pizza & 2 children's cheese burgers & fries, the food was delicious!!! I especially lived the chowder which has FULL of seafood & creamy. The service was good too, thanks Meg & Tom!

Took a while to be seated, reasonably busy but not many staff on and slightly disorganised. Good wine list. Food was good quality and a little over-priced. WSell, this is Akaroa. Pleasant surroundings and seating inside and out. Would recommend for a pleasant lunch.

We took a leisurely drive over to Akaroa and decided to stop and look for a place to have lunch. We walked around looking at the various eateries and decided on this one. It was rather busy but we were quickly shown to a table and water was brought to us immediately. After a while the waitress asked if we... More

We were shocked at the size of the meals, well priced and large. 2 of is had salt and pepper calamari and it was absolutely perfectly cooked, pizza was good along with the burger and special seafood meal of the day. Great service and really pleasant food

We booked our accommodation at L'Hotel Boutique Hotel in Akaroa via the local tourist office. Our room was large, spotlessly clean, and had a large balcony overlooking the bay. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly - we could not have asked for more. I can recommend the restaurant and bar which has a very good a la carte menu... More
