A pleasant if basic restaurant. A simple menu but beautifully cooked. Excellent value for money. We went a few times during our stay and would highly recommend it.

This is the best restaurant in Tavira both on quality of food and price. It's packed most lunch times and evenings with both locals and visitors so best to book. We have been back many times and without fail can recommend it to you.

Not the fanciest restaurant but the food was very good and the owner very friendly and helpful. I didn't realise it was cash only but he was happy for me to order and eat and then nip out to a cash machine at the end to sort the bill. That made me feel immediately at ease and thought - wow... Definitively my favourite restaurant in Tavira city. Simple, inexpensive and unpretentious. Most of the times we have grilled fish but meat dishes are also quite good. From time to time they prepare special dishes - stews with special types of meat such as "carne de caça" - and I go for that. Xico is an old friend and his son... More

Ate here three times over Christmas and New Year as part of a group. Wonderful food and service. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. The vegetarians and the vegan in our party were well catered for. Huge quantities of food so make sure you're hungry when you go.

A local place, only locals there so it's pretty interesting to be in the midst of them. Food is really cheap for that quality and portion that you get. However don't expect a gastronomical experience as the cooking is very simple. For me it's very average food. House white wine wasn't so good.

We have been coming here at lease six or more times a year for the past ten years, and the quality and content of the meals never changes - it is always good. The choices are a little limited and deserts fairly scarce, but if you know what you want and it is on the menu then you know you... More

Had several evening meals here recently. As others have said, this is a restaurant used by locals (which is always a good sign), and it's not long before you see why. The food is excellent, with quite a varied menu. Eduardo goes out of his way to make everyone feel at home. Very busy, so it's worth getting in early,... More
