Our friends who live locally say this is one of their favourite restaurants. Well supported by the locals, so it may pay to book. As others have said, it serves good plain Portuguese cooking without much "green stuff" on the plate. Portions are generous and tasty. We had lamb shanks, chops and sea bream. Very basic decor, but you don't go... More

Nice friendly Portuguese restaurant with internal or external dining options. Menu is very limited but what they offered was well cooked and tasty. Unfortunately the downside was no vegetables with the main course and everything comes with chips, roast lamb and chips? See what I mean Upside was - the price, nothing on the menu was more than 8 euro,... More

Value for money you can't beat this place, simple food but cooked well, wine cheap. No frills food but very good all the same. If you want somewhere flash this is not the place for you. 4 skewers of pork and chips 8 euro, wine 5 euro a bottle cheaper than anywhere else. Cover of sardine pate and brean and... More

We went for lunch with a group of friends and were served outside under a lemon tree. The food was typically Portuguese and freshly cooked, with generous portions, the wine local and tasty. Really good value for money. The service was attentive and the waiter did understand English. You do need to book because it gets very busy with local... More

If you are looking for good basic fresh portuguese food then this is the place to go to! Have been coming here for many years first served by the Dad and now the son (Dad sits at back of restaurant checking all is in order!!). Menu is limited but food is good and wine is local wine and very tasty.... More

We ate here on our last night of our golf break to Tavira as we were recommended to try it by a friend. It was well worth the recommendation. Even though it was rather full with local eaters (a good sign), Eduardo made us up a table for 10 and gave us a wonderful meal. Great, simple food at fantastic... More

Average Portuguese restaurant - can get packed so you have to call in to book - not fantastic, not terrible either, great value for money.

I was rather dubious when I arrived at this little restaurant as the decor looked very basic. However, the food is freshly cooked, tasted delicious, and the best home made chips I have had in Tavira. The amounts are generous, the prices cheap, and certainly a place I would visit again. I noticed how crowded it became, not with tourists... More

Approaching the restaurant we almost turned back. It was empty and looked very cheap with plastic furniture. However our friends knew better and guided us through the restaurant to the back, where they have a nice place outside. Also plastic furniture and a bit of untidy around the restaurant. We decided to stay and to give it a go. The... More
