Top place in Tavira city

Definitively my favourite restaurant in Tavira city. Simple, inexpensive and unpretentious. Most of the times we have grilled fish but meat dishes are also quite good. From time to time they prepare special dishes - stews with special types of meat such as "carne de caça" - and I go for that. Xico... read more

Ate here three times over Christmas and New Year as part of a group. Wonderful food and service. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. The vegetarians and the vegan in our party were well catered for. Huge quantities of food so make sure you're hungry when you go.

A local place, only locals there so it's pretty interesting to be in the midst of them. Food is really cheap for that quality and portion that you get. However don't expect a gastronomical experience as the cooking is very simple. For me it's very average food. House white wine wasn't so good.

We have been coming here at lease six or more times a year for the past ten years, and the quality and content of the meals never changes - it is always good. The choices are a little limited and deserts fairly scarce, but if you know what you want and it is on the menu then you know you... More

Had several evening meals here recently. As others have said, this is a restaurant used by locals (which is always a good sign), and it's not long before you see why. The food is excellent, with quite a varied menu. Eduardo goes out of his way to make everyone feel at home. Very busy, so it's worth getting in early,... More

Our friends who live locally say this is one of their favourite restaurants. Well supported by the locals, so it may pay to book. As others have said, it serves good plain Portuguese cooking without much "green stuff" on the plate. Portions are generous and tasty. We had lamb shanks, chops and sea bream. Very basic decor, but you don't go... More

Nice friendly Portuguese restaurant with internal or external dining options. Menu is very limited but what they offered was well cooked and tasty. Unfortunately the downside was no vegetables with the main course and everything comes with chips, roast lamb and chips? See what I mean Upside was - the price, nothing on the menu was more than 8 euro,... More

Value for money you can't beat this place, simple food but cooked well, wine cheap. No frills food but very good all the same. If you want somewhere flash this is not the place for you. 4 skewers of pork and chips 8 euro, wine 5 euro a bottle cheaper than anywhere else. Cover of sardine pate and brean and... More
