First time in Tavira and pleased to note there are several Indian Restaurants. The Koh-I-Noor is a large centrally located air conditioned building with some outside seating as well. It has a menu of really interesting vegetarian choices as well as the usual meat and seafood. We chose to sit outside and enjoy eating in the open air. Starters of... More

I am a regular visitor to Tavira, never visit Portugal without visiting Kohinoor a couple of times. Food is beautiful, very generous portions the service is great and the prices are very reasonable. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area who enjoys Indian food.

My family and I have recently returned from a 2 week trip to Portugal staying just 5 minutes drive from Tavira in Santo Estevao. Tavira was a favourite place for us in the evenings and we all ate at the Kohinoor one evening. Right from the minute all 9 of us were seated, the service was friendly, efficient and very... More

Took a group of 9 to eat, including my 70 year old mother who doesn't eat Indian and my teenage son who has a nut allergy. They were very friendly and accomodated both needs very well. My mother ended up with an omelette, and the chef came out to advise us on the dishes that would be safe for my... More

We have avoided eating here for some time but were invited by friends to go for dinner. What a surprise it was. The waiter was very friendly and helpful and the chef came out to chat with us. When the food arrived I thought the portions were small but I was actually the only one to finish my meal. The... More

Every time we come to Tavira we always call in at Kohinoor. It's the best of the Indian Restaurants here and never fails to satisfy. The place is clean, cool and well maintained plus of course the food and selection is great. Staff are friendly and always attentive without being obtrusive. Definitely on our to go to list.

There are three Indian restaurants in Lagos and this is the best. The interior is charming and warm. The staff are very nice, we had a soft drink spillage and they jokes with the kids over it and replaced both drinks without charge. Food is excellent, we had popadums, naan, roti and loads if curry :) Highly recommended.
